olight is overpriced or sofirn just incredibly good price. sofirn is not only brighter but has better throw result.

Is the q8 plus noticeable more power than sp70 ? I have the 70 not impressed was hopping for more brightness

This comment is from Korea. I bought the SP36 Pro 18 months ago. I usually use it when I go to the mountain at night alone. I think the short turbo mode time and severe heat generation are disadvantages.

Why wasn't that end of the lake illuminated? I expected it. This is so obvious and needed to be done.

Did you say you could lock it out?I don't think 4 clicks locks it out. I don't think it has a lock out at all.

And not to forget, the blf can hold on to 1800-2000 lumens until the battery is empty, just need to change the temperature Regulation settings to a bit higher value. Dont know if this is possible with the pro version, both have got anduril 2 but i am pretty sure the pro gets to hot to hold such high levels of output.

I ordered this before I discovered the battery issue. I contacted Sofirn and asked how to buy additional 32650 batteries as they will not last long with the flashlight's high discharge rate on Turbo. I also asked about a high drain 32700 I'd seen on AliExpress and whether that would work. Here's their response... "Hi. We don't sell 32650 batteries. We have checked the 32700 battery is incompatible with our IF30. Any questions, please let us know." They released the IF30 and don't even support its consumable component, and the weakest link in the design. They said I could return it to China but at my cost. Last Sofirn I'll ever buy! It's not even technically a 12k lumen light. I suggest anyone think twice about buying a Sofirn product.

thanks for the review looks Amazing , i just ordered one.... i got the acebeam L19 and L17 - and 2 acebeam A10 green and white and sofirn if 22a and a if19- sp33v3 -sp33s - q8plus is a monster sp36 pro and a CONVOY C8+ and lumintop GTA i like all of them but sofirn does have the better price and quality product cannot go wrong with a sofirn.. i had 8 eyes looking back at me the other night - deer i guess

If you have one of the newer ones, you can access turbo from off by rapidly double-clicking the mode button.

You'll be getting an Imalent SR 32 next. Seems that's partly how this hobby goes, ever more powerful lights! That TS 32 impresses me for it's fairly small size given it's large performance.

Looking at this again as I just ordered a 5000k SP36Pro. I think this is the 6500k with the artefacts that I hope they have fixed some now? You'll have to buy another one lol.

You seem to have vanished? Hope all is well. I have just ordered an Astrolux EA O4 with 12000 lumens to try, Seems it's quite a heater if you amp up the output so will need to use that sparingly. It's one of those lights using some of these recent Chinese leds and has a very simple smooth ramping only UI so no clicky Anduril for a more basic simplicity. Apparently people are liking it. Big flooder but still almost 350+ meter max throw and cheaper than the usual CREE etc Astrolux. Due in a week or two or three .....

Ihre Videos haben mir schon öfter bei der Kaufentscheidung geholfen. Bei der SF47T z. B. hat mich das spezielle Lichtbild überzeugt (best of both worlds 😉). Das Video ist wie immer gut gemacht, informativ, und Sofirn (wie bisher alle meine Sofirn - Lampen) fast unschlagbar im P/L - Verhältnis. Freue mich auf weitere Videos. Grüße aus Deutschland. 🇩🇪

Sofirn went on to fix the ring issue in later versions of the SP36 pro.

Seen 4x181350 batteries recently in an enormous flashlight listed on Shein (and Aliexpress). Didn't know 181350 existed, did you? Hell, even Google's AI Gemini doesn't know that!

My choice is always step mode. Does this light have a moonlight mode ?

Personally i think i would like the auto lock out. I had one go on in my pocket and felt like my behind was on fire. I have the if22a and i lock that out most every time so i can see myself liking the auto lock out

Wow! I had to search through a ton of videos to just know what any enthusiast about tactical lights wants to know about this light and no one is mentioning it. Jesus. Not even Sofirn on it's manual. You said before that in tactical mode it will also memorize the last output level, but in your night beam shots at exactly 9:48 you swapped through Turbo-Strobe-Medium and then you left it on medium, after that you turned off the light for maybe 4-5 seconds and when you turned it on it started at Turbo! Like any tactical light must do. So there it shows that there is no memory mode on this light and it makes an almost perfect tactical light with that kind of UI. It's essentially like Convoy's Biscotti UI if you set it on mode 11 with no memory, which gives a Turbo-medium-strobe. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for the love of god do another test and TELL ME! If you leave it on strobe and then turn it off, will it then start on Turbo again? This is exactly what everyone needs to know about this light, the only info no ones mentioning yet. And if does start on Turbo after how many seconds do you recall is reseting it's memory? Please let me know, i already wasted more than 1 and a half hour to know the one thing any tactical light must have and that is turn on always at Turbo. I am desperatelly waiting for a responce. Thank so so much in advance

Just for the fact that the IF30 is non proprietary makes it a win, even if it had lower output. After over 25 years as a computer tech, trust me propriety anything is a bad deal. Ask any apple owner.

Your saying the higher the mAh the higher the amps? I always heard it was the opposite, that its a trade off, if you want higher amps youll have to settle for lower capacisty Tbh i dont know anything about batteries myself, just what ive read around

I have a SC32 and find it one of my preferred edc lights. The design, including fresnel lens, gives it a superb balance of throw and flood, my preference. Excellent quality of light in the 5000K range.

I have it and glad they gave the option of turning the auto lock off, it gets the job done for the price it's worth. And nice review of it got yourself a subscriber here.

Good review .Convoy are cheap but perform very well . Try the C8+ with Osram chip ,excellent thrower .

I’ve seen mention that the battery supplied with this is “not fit for purpose and possibly dangerous” - have you noticed any issues with yours?

Hello... Thank you for the clip and the explanations provided. I like Olight but I prefer Sofirn. Olight is much more expensive compared to Sofirn and Sofirn lights much better than Olight and the fact that Sofirn has a universal battery that can be found and used in other brands as well as a power bank plus the fact that it can be charged with any cable USB-C and is not as individualistic as Olight, from my point of view, represents another plus point for Sofirn

I bought myself a SC18 the SC32 is probably better flood lighting, but I prefer range so I went with the SC18 but both EDC are good can't go wrong with any.

Worst company to buy from customer service is so bad i threw therr stuff in the landfill

Sc18 is throwy and floody, much colder color. The other one is floody and warmer color.

This is easier than most reviews state, there’s a slight flicker once turned on approximately 3sec, then ready for fast half press to change light brightness.

AliExpress advertised the pro for £25 today from their polish warehouse stock midtvgo they said, then it said can't be delivered to the UK, ☹️☹️☹️
