This is an absolute delight to watch and a lot to learn. A successful work of art if you ask me ONYEKA is a great woman, a multi talented icon and role model for young women to emulate. Chinua Achebe said it all. But as i watched I wondered what will be the minds of the foreigners who were part of this production considering the present situation of Nigeria.

Onyeka Onwenu was just so accomplished and excellent at everything she did. Elegant, eloquent, classy, beautiful and eternal in all her ways.. unfortunately, the earth just keeps taking them away from us and keeping them for itself. Rest in peace, Onyeka Onwenu 🙏 an icon, a hero, and a legend.

I have said it that Nigeria as currently structured has never worked, it's not working and will never work. For the country to have any chance of making progress, we need to go back to regional governments based on the 6 geopolitical zones or seperation along thos lines. The earlier the better if not what is to come ...

There were so many legends in this documentary. The part where Onyeka was dancing with Tina was hilarious. We really lost a gem. Chinua Achebe was right. We settled for convenience rather than competence. Awolowo was probably the best President Nigeria never had. After many years, the situation is still the same. Farewell Ma

This is really a classic. Done at a time when the corruption was subtle and not so blatant and insensitive as now! Also, I remember seeing Onyeka going to visit Tina in SA when Tina was sick with cancer. I didn’t know about their history. Sad Chinua Achebe eventually left the country. I guess he felt compelled.

Just imagine! This was done in 1984. It’s still as true and relevant in 2024 as it was back then. In fact, even truer now!

Its just as if this documentary was done last week, because everything talked about here is still the same thing happening now and even worst! Nigeria which way??? Tribalism is eating us up because we can't come together as one and take a stand
