Erik actually did the play "We Will Rock you " in high school i believe... so technically he has done MANY Queen covers..lol. He has stated in his vlogs that Freddie Mercury is one of his inspirations and if he has an issue recording something.. he says.. "WWFD"... "What would Freddie do?" ...😂

Erik for sure is one of my favorite singers out there and he did a stellar job on this track, amazing! I've never heard this song by a female. Written and recorded by Badfinger in 1970 but made famous by Harry Nilsson in 1971. You need to listen to him sing it. Mariah's version would've been a cover.

Another great singer that is just starting out and still doesn't get the recognition she deserves is Faouzia. She's a Moroccan born Canadian singer. She also writes most of her own songs and is still only 23. She's done collabs with Kelly Clarkson, David Guetta and John Legend. She is also a multi instrumentalist. I don't think you'd be disappointed.

@@jennifersmusicpage Her Tears of Gold is her most popular I think but she has many others. If you do check her out, her stripped versions are better with usually just piano and voice. A recent release is Fur Elise (live performance). She has also just started competing in the Singer 2024 from China. One performance so far there, Crazy (Gnarls Barkley), but more coming soon.

If you like Erik, you should check out Tommy Johansson. He's another metal singer with an awesome voice and he plays a ton of instruments. He's former guitarist with Sabaton, and is the lead singer.guitarist for Majestica. But he does a lot of solo videos on his YT channel, uploading a new cover almost every Friday. So there are lots to choose from - everything from Disney to Celine Dion to metal. He also records in his own home studio and plays all the instruments in his videos.

Erik records in his home studio. He had done Queen. Go to his Channel, then Playlists and then Covers. He won Swedish Idol back in 2009, then was the lead singer of H.E.A.T for 10 years. He got cancer and started doing covers when he was recovering from his bone marrow transplant. After recovering he joined Skid Row but has recently left because of the impact tour was having on his health (he essentially has a new immune system because of the bone marrow transplant). Erik is amazing.

Great reaction Jennifer, to one of the most amazing singers/performers in the world. Another wonderful singer you should definitely check out is 20 year old Lucy Thomas from the UK. She has just released her 5th studio album and already has millions of fans around the world. I can recommend her cover of the Barbara Streisand song "Evergreen" I guarantee you'll be impressed.

Love the dress,chair, venue, body language and facial expressions, elegance etc. The Italian version from 1999 is out of this world and takes the vocals even one step further, it lifts even more with Italian. She has that look afterwards that she has after je suis Malade and Caruso at from Lara with love concert. Although the image quality in the link you posted may not be up to par, I wholeheartedly second this motion. I have scoured the internet for live Italian versions of this song, and this is, in my opinion, the cream of the crop. Sure, there is the 2007 incarnation, but to put it bluntly (in the vain hope of not offending anyone), there is the uncomfortable reality of a singer at their A game (for Lara I'd tentatively say between 1997 and 2003 (I think "En Toute Intimité" contains her very best performances in terms of sheer artistry)) and just a smidge past it. Caveat: Don't get me wrong; Lara has, over the years, been more consistent in terms of vocal calibre than most other singers at her (or any other) level.
