I had to read the introductory text twice in order to make sure that you guys really hail from New Zealand. As far away from Western Europe as it gets. Really shows very nicely what the term “world music” means.

I particularly like this short pause/hiatus after “Si! - Ch’io vorrei morire, …” Quite charming! Never heard this before. Used to sing this piece myself in my days 35 years ago. …

Verdammt, das geht echt ans Herz, das ist verdammt gut arrangiert, die Akustik ist großartig und die Sopranstimmen, die zwischendurch anschwellen machen es emotional heftig und intensiv! Wird dem Song und dem Gefühl sehr gerecht. Aber bitte warum wegen ca 7-8 Zeilen Text aus Gesangsbüchern lesen?? Bitte lasst das doch. Erst wenn der Text sitzt kann die Kunst lernen zu laufen....

Thechnically they are singing with great skills, that's not the problem. The really big problem is their interpretation... ! If there is any. They have totally forgotten to read the text. Unfortunately they sing it like a happy spring dance. The opposite of what it should be: hopeless sighing. Where is the doubt, the sadness, the despair??
