I was born in 97' and though I wasn't alive nor in the US when all of this was happening, I'm currently compiling all of the stuff I can from this year because I keep finding it was such a great year for hardcore and 'emo' or whatever you want to call it. Anyways thank you for uploading all of this, most of the entries for my compilation come from your channel haha, so yeah. cheers from Latin America!

This opener is one of the coolest tracks I’ve heard in all of 2024. AIC-style vocals with 90s metalcore and creepy keys - what a formula! If I had to bet, I’d say this band’s Canadian.

@@canadianwasteland I was thinking Ontario or maybe Upstate NY, but I could be way off. Just has a vibe to it- little bit of New Day Rising, Hourglass, or Shiloh was another band from Ontario that played in that vein. The unhinged vocals, thinking outside the box a bit, a touch of evil to the guitars, deep pockets of groove… This Handful Of Dust does its own thing though, don’t mean to pigeonhole it too much. Really stoked to find this. Also, I will check out your blog- that’s awesome you’re doing something creative and informative, dredging up the more obscure stuff! Thank you!

Thank you for this upload. I saw and opened for this band twice between 1999 and 2001 when they passed through Dallas. Very unique band. They brought a heartfelt intensity seldom seen these days. True d.i.y. lifestyle shit. If anyone knows what other projects the former members might be involved with these days please let me know. Cheers.
