I have a question for car guys and mechanics. I drive a 2014 Mini Cooper S, 4 cylinder Turbo charged. I was wondering if backfiring is good for your car at all? I've seen a lot of videos on this and I'm getting numerous answers. I'll be at a park for example and I'll accelerate and upon the deceleration is when I'll get a fairly loud audible pop from the back, not sure if there are flames out of the back or not.

Why don't they install fuel line locker to starve engine and put a solenoid on the intake that can be shut to stop air flow feeding it
