I wish the government would fund grade separation of all the railways in the Auckland urban area.

What we need: City Rail Link (UC). Northern Line (to replace that pointless busway) Airport Line.
@danieleyre89132 ай бұрын
@@TxtalArmi Why is an airport link needed? Auckland airport isn’t very big nor busy. And the existing shuttle service does not get much patronage And how is the northern busway “useless”? It’s very popular and is approaching capacity.
@TxtalArmi2 ай бұрын
@@danieleyre8913 Buses are often delayed, and who the hell prefers buses over trains?
@game-azing2 ай бұрын
I agree to all of you. We need more trains instead of crappy busses. Airport line is a definate and replacing the northern bus way with a train line is critical. One thing you do need to understand is that we are not like Australia, I don't think we are big enough to have tons of railway lines.
@danieleyre89132 ай бұрын
@@TxtalArmi Do you even use the trains? They are also often delayed. Yeah trains are preferable to buses. Does that make the busway useless?

my favorite has to be larapinta drive as it was the first crossing in the NT with a cantilever Signal, also the way it used to be a Gateless mechanical bell crossing makes it more unique to other railway crossings prior 2009. Honorable mention: Has to be the Stuart Highway railway crossing on the outskirts of Alice Springs. Despite being replaced by an overpass, it was the last crossing in the NT with Mechanical Bells to my knowledge, also the vibe on how far it is from a civilization is nice. great video tho!

Cheers for the vid, dude :) NW Vic (Wimmera/Mallee area) is a good place to visit if you like nice, secluded rural crossings. Especially those on the Murtoa-Hopetoun line - I grew up near that line in the '80s when it went as far as Patchewollock. Closer to Melb, the Stony Point line has some good crossings, too - definitely worth checking out. Also, if you get a chance, I recommend you go & check out the crossings over in Tassie, they have some really interesting ones with some beautiful scenery, especially in rural areas. Thanks again :)
