Looks cool, I’ve been sleeping on a futon on the floor from years,,, one downside you’re more vulnerable to bedbugs😂

good if you are transient. ive had this set up before. futon is not space effcient. traditional frames have under storage. with a this futon theres alot of vertical dead space.

You sound like a cool guy, great priorities and view of life! Awesome tips, too. My larges amount of time is always on Spotify, Maps, and Instagram. Instagram is the only one I really count, but I've had a time limit on it for a while now, it reminds me periodically and shuts off automatically. I don't really want to be on it, I've realized I don't gain much from my daily use and am just chasing a dopamine rush. I avoid getting on Explore because of that, but just checking off all my Following posts every day takes quite a bit of time. I don't know what to do though since I like photography, and still have thousands of photos from awesome trips that I need to sort through, edit and post.

Another important thing to add, modern mattresses are full of chemicals which are toxic to humans.; The man made materials that create the foam interior are themselves chemicals. I never gave this a thought until my son said he'd like to try sleeping on a tatami bed and so I launched into the subject matter. I've ended up buying an extremely expensive futon for him because I wanted to get him the genuine article. He has terrible back problems and i'm so impressed with what I've learned, I'm considering getting myself one too!

This is actually so real.. I just recently started limiting apps/setting up screen time limits to stop unhealthy habits (to put it nicely 😅.) So far.. I think it’s working, and I’m actually considering disabling some of my online/social accounts that serve me no purpose :/ Also, maybe buying an Apple Watch wasn’t actually a waste, that’s pretty smart. Should anyone see and read this, any extra tips anyone has are greatly appreciated :)

Well, look at the bright side. You suffered because your grandparents wouldn't turn on the A/C, but also, because of your grandparents, they created the most handsome man in the world! You see? All is right with the world... thanks to grandma and grandpa. ♥

Nice you live in Sac Cali too huh? I feel ya, it gets really hot during the summer especially when you live on the second floor like me lmao, the rooftop absorbs heat making it more difficult to sleep. So I think I’ll invest into a futon too.

I think Japanese beds are cool, but what if you just built like a frame so you could elevate it, then you could use the underneath space for storage and you wouldn't have to make a bed everyday and have this empty space in your room that you have to save for bed?

damn man once you get a place just turn on the AC. Window units are also super affordable and if you just have one in your sleeping room and only use it at night your electricity might go up 30 bucks, big whoop

I got a big ole queen size bed after moving into a new place, 3 months of restless sleep later I was sleeping on the floor, and 3 years later I’m still sleeping on the floor, no futon, just a few blankets as cushion, but seeing this makes me think I’ll try an actual thing out to replace the blankets.

I used to sleep on a mattress topper on the floor. Because I wanted too! I have a little area for yoga. There’s gym pads and a rug ontop. And I sleep on that. A blanket and a pillow. I love it.

I’ve been trying to limit my screen time recently and this video is just a great reminder of that. One thing I’ve done to help is create a focus (on iPhone) that only allows notifications from my family to go through and that’s it. Something you reminded me of is the idea that a phone should just be used for what it was meant to be used for, so a new goal for me will be using my phone solely for communication. Appreciate the video :]
