I like the Left Uppercut when used as a follow up to a right-bicep parry. A bicep parry would theoretically give you the time and stance you might want to initiate your aim and build up Awesome Demo

I was going to criticize her right hopk until I realized the height difference. Not bad, Those glasses probably saved the lady from a nasty shiner. Nice punch

You must be on the balls of your feet on the move. But must be able to put your heel down at least on the front foot the moment you are planted and positioned to strike

Reminds me of Marcelo's sit up escape from side control. Building up to the hand seems important, to be able to deal with opponent using a tight waist grip with right arm. I'll give it a try.

Grabbing and controlling anything is, in my experience, very difficult in no gi as greasy sweat is abundant. Near impossible once the furnace has been stoked. Lots of theory that’s hard to practice during live rounds. Aside from that I love jiu jitsu (but I’ve switched to catch wrestling)
@okinawajapan17 ай бұрын
Interesting ideas. One of the few places where making yourself as open as possible helps. Weighting their head and raising their knee for the escape is smart.

I'm sure it's better to be mounted than give up your back.
@letstalkcaliber7047 ай бұрын
In mma it's some times better because you can't strike to the back of the head. But ya I'm not a fan of this escape because your opponents legs can still climb the body.
@GFox-tp5hh7 ай бұрын
@@letstalkcaliber704 it's not better in MMA. They can still strike the side of your head if you're facing away.
@letstalkcaliber7047 ай бұрын
@@GFox-tp5hh I said sometimes it's better. It depends on a lot but I've seen guys defending mount terribly give their back to get up. A lot of people suck at attacking the back in MMA.
@GFox-tp5hh7 ай бұрын
@@letstalkcaliber704 fair enough. It can be hard to finish a rear naked with MMA gloves
