Is it also possible to downgrade the firmware like this?

I tried to download the updated BIOS firmware from the HP site, but the only options available are for Windows 10. Unfortunately at some point my HP Pavilion was updated to Windows 11. Am i stuck with the BIOS firmware I have(F.11-06/11/2018)?

I upgraded mine about 5 years ago to Windows Server. From memory I used a USB Stick with automated install. I installed some Drive Pool software. At the time I was sure tha max drive was 4TB though so it is great that you have managed to get more. Your solution is better as it uses native Windows pooling. My battery is dead now so the clock keeps slipping out of sync. Going to replace the battery to squeeze a few more months out of it but starting to think of a replacement. Great device. Glad I got it all those years ago.

If your goal is to get an empty disk in order to use it for some other purpose, then the easiest way at this point (2:26) is to type: "clean" and press enter. This will clean up the selected drive. There are two things you have to be absolutely sure about: 1. Make sure that you have selected the disk you want to "clean" (here is how 2:16). 2. DO NOT "clean" the disk with your running OS!

11:25 If you get a "Clone failed - Error 9 - Read Failed - 23 - Data error (cyclic redundancy check)" the work around for me was to make an image file and restore from there. CHKDSK did not help in my case at all even with /R or /F.

could I move all of this to another case?

I'm trying to clone Windows 10 from one desktop machine to another to avoid reinstalling all the apps by cloning from the original HDD in the first computer to a larger SSD and installing it in the second desktop computer. I believe I have cloned the drive correctly and also created a rescue USB stick, but neither will boot the new computer. Both say to install an operating system. Am I trying to do the impossible?

I used this just the other day to make sure i didn't damage the drive. Got a 14tb exos x16 enterprise drive, pretty happy. Loud drive but ok in a HDD silencer. Even put a 3tb toshiba back in the enclosure to give to a friend. Works fine.

I switched 250GB SSD to 1T NVme with the Macrium 7 rescuer USB. How to resize the c drive in this tutorial is the best part. One big difficulty I have encountered was caused by unplugging old SSD before first reboot from NVMe. I wasted many time on bcd rebuild and the cure is plugging SSD back. I was wondering the diskpart part because I think windows disk management can do the same, but I have approved myself wrong. Very good instruction and Thank you.

Where I live HDDs are stupid expensive, I picked up 2 seagate externals drives and scored a regular 10TB Barracuda and a 10TB Iron Wolf Pro! All for less than HALF the price of a brand new one!! thanks!
