Bob is the best guide at Ace for sure. Amazing person. He guided me 2 or 3 times. He gives you the challenges you can handle on the river.

We were jolted out by our guide hitting a huge rock just before insignificant….the first 5 on the Gaulley..They get guides that don’t know the river…not necessarily ACE…but they all bring in guides from wherever. Awful experience. 20 years going down the Gaulley. This dude sucked balls.

I went on an Upper/Lower Gauley trip with ACE in the late 90's. I have to say it was one of the best experiences I ever had. The guides were excellent, and made us get the most out of that river. Our successful Sweets Falls decent and then watching most other rafts fail while having lunch was definitely the highlight of the trip. I can't recommend ACE enough for a Gauley trip. If I were to do it again, I'd recommend doing the Double Upper!

Best tip in the video. Don't stand up. If you can swim to the side, great. Do not get your foot trapped in rocks.
