How do you make these pieces bigger? I want to get into this but how would I enlarge it for tote bags or sweaters?
@jadecordial
@jadecordial 20 сағат бұрын
You would add a bunch to your starting chain to make it the size you want. You would add an even amount on both sides. So if the duck bag pattern is currently 40 wide and you chained 120 then you need to add 40 background color single crochets at the beginning and then 40 at the end after you have done each row. That adds up to the 120 you chained. And then a similar way to add length. Just add however many rows of plain. This pattern only started with 5 but you could do 15 or 20 to make the bag longer.

So, the 150 chains go vertical, they determine the vertical length, not the width(how wide the scarf is)?, so if i want a 2meter long scarf should i do around 200 chains?
@jadecordial
@jadecordial 20 сағат бұрын
Yes they determine the length, so if you want it to be longer just chain however many chains makes 2 meters!

If I were to try and make a sweater the requires tapestry crocheting, would I leave the back as is or do I cut and sew in the ends?
@jadecordial
@jadecordial 3 күн бұрын
I guess it depends on how messy the back is! I would probably cut and hide the ends or they would bother me. You could also hand sew a soft piece of fabric on the inside of the sweater to cover that part up.

Help, I keep ending up with either too many or too little stitches at the end of the rounds. I don’t know what to do. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m confused at the slip stitches.

Hello, Thanks for the video. I have some questions. I tried this method, It looks better than I used other method. But the front side's pattern looks still not clean like you. Should I use a smaller needle to make it tighter and more gapless? Or do I have to pull the yarn very tightly when I change the color of the yarn?
@jadecordial
@jadecordial 6 күн бұрын
I make sure to pull the yarn really tight as I change colors, especially on the back!

Thank you so much, the written pattern is helping so much. I wanted to ask, do I consider the slip stitch where I joined my last stitch to the beginning a stitch, or should I just skip over it?
@jadecordial
@jadecordial 4 күн бұрын
@@jiawu1483 good question! I usually deem the first stitch as the same stitch that i just slip stitched into. Which should put you ahead of the slip stitch. When you come back around, you should be good to skip the slip stitch! I’d recommend counting stitches and making sure you haven’t added an extra stitch because sometimes the slip stitch can look like another space. I hope that makes sense
