I am just wondering, since the VA is implementing the new rating schedule in April of 2025, will they continue rating claims on the old rating schedule until April 2025, or will they utilize the new process on claims submitted before that? I'm curious because I submitted an appeal, to which the VA discovered a DTA. Before I was able to submit private medical records that would have certainly impacted their decision in my benefit, they rendered a decision to continue without any change to the rating. I can either submit a board appeal or request a supplemental claim. I plan to submit a supplemental claim, but my deadline is April 2025, the same month they're supposed to implement the new rating schedule. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!

When this passes and you file after it passes for an updated % for something else, does that open up your Tinnitus to get removed if it is stand alone if you don't have something to hang it on? And if you are filing for vestibular migraines should you file for tinnitus as secondary?

I was Army. I recently had to go to an AFB to see a doctor. I was early for my appointment and stopped at the BX. I noticed they had a Sleep Apnea store. When I was in the service, I didn't know what sleep apnea was, and the PX didn't have sleep apnea stores. Sometimes, I feel like the military community is a research population.

The changes won’t affect you if your disabilities are static or permanent already. They can’t take your conditions away under 38 CFR, they can’t reduce you if your conditions are static or permanent because you aren’t scheduled for any future exams for those conditions. The goal is not panic and wait and see what happens. You can contact your elected official and demand that they push to reverse course on the va if you feel that you need to do something.

If it aint one thing, its another. The VAs Mission Statement is probably "Screw the Vets and lets give ourselves a Bonus!" I wouldn't be surprised!

everyone doesn't know everytime you have a hearing then the 5 year to 20 year review comes into play again. Everytime you go against the claim you bring back revues. period.

If you already have the rating your are Grandfathered in. There I saved some of guys some time. :)

If you already have tinnitus and have a hearing loss rated you are safe. I have service connected for both but hearing loss is 0%.
