Started fishing McClellens in the 70's it was literally world class, as in world record brown trout caught there. beautiful riffles and holes and deep slots ace in the hole was great held large trout . And then they started blowing water all the time and washed out or filled in a lot of nice spots trees got undercut and fell in the river and it lost so much character. McClellens is deserted and that whole side of the river is inacessable until you get to Roses. Nice video thanks brought back some memories.

Don't use shampoo in the river or park on the river bank. Very poor etiquette along the Buffalo. It's a protected river system.

water and dji sensors dont play well together. It's weird because when in active track mode it shouldn't change its elevation a feature i dislike when dirtbiking the dunes because the elavation is constantly changing.
@TrukkFit2 жыл бұрын
Yea I don't get it. Something about the reflection off the water messes with it.

Also - dry fly fishing only really works when you see bugs flying around over the water or in shallow waters. In lower flowing rivers like this I’d suggest doing the dry dropper I mentioned in previous comment or setting up indicator to two nymphs (~16 inches apart). You want the bottom fly to be skipping on the bottom. If you start snagging a lot then go -> indicator -> first nymph fly -> 16 inches of line -> second bead head fly -> 6 inches of line -> sinker/shot. This will pull the flies down but since the last thing is the shot you don’t snag as much.
@patteng18992 жыл бұрын
What I’ve had great success with is a Dry Dropper setup. You use a medium to large dry fly which will act as both a dry fly and indicator. Then you tie about 16-20 inches of next size down line and connect a nymph fly (anything that’ll sink really). That way you can fish for creating fish with the dry and also fish for trout deeper down. I usually go 4x leader to my first fly. Then 5x tippet to second fly. If you snag your second fly you can just snap the 5x and re-tie a dropper fly to your dry fly. Have fun out there!

I caught a golden trout for the first time just the other day. Absolutely blew my mind. I live 10 minutes from the white and never even knew they existed. I have nothing but the story to tell because I was out in the water and caught my hook under my fingernail but since that moment I’ve been thinking of starting a KZfaq channel just to document my daily trips to sit down at the white.

The obstacle avoidance sensors don't like water, but you probably know that by now, not sure if you have the option to disable them, I am new to drones as well and I almost had this happen with my new Air 2S, scary fo sho.

I'm 65. I drove for Myers Bakery, out of Hope, for 12 years then I taught CDL & Truck Driving at UACCH in Hope for 10 years. Now I am retired and in another month the wife and I are moving to Greenbrier. (Our kids and grands live in Conway). I found your channel researching trout fishing in the area. I grew up in Denver and spent my youth on the banks of rivers and lakes throughout the Rockies. Bass and Crappie have dominated my time down here in L.A. (Lower Arkansas) but my heart hungers for what I fell in love with long ago and I'm looking forward to new waters. I've never caught or eaten Walleye but I've always wanted to. Hope to get to meet you. I might need a Kayak lesson. HA! (I want one bad) Great Channel!

Have you ever fished at Ramsey Landing down river from Pangburn? Had some pretty good luck last fall when I was there and it’s a good boat launch and bank fishing area too.
