I’m sorry for what you went through. But I can say as a mother who saw her daughter suffer greatly through a narcissistic relationship I can relate and understand what your family went through knowing their daughter was suffering So from a Mothers perspective I too must say God loves you very much and you have great value to family and friends so what I’m saying if you are truly being abused severely with physical and or mental abuse and your spouse or friend will not get the help they need and counseling is not working seeking a place of safety is of the utmost importance. Some people never change! Pray for Gods direction always before you begin and trust God to direct your life by surrendering your life to God!

I am sure you have already sorted the bedroom out, I thought I'd share what a single mom I know did with her son. They got a loft twin bed to put over the mom's bed (which I think was a full size, but I am sure a queen would work if the head board was on the wall side, which would be the far long side of the twin). That way all the beds are in one area and the desks/seating can be opposite.

I know you spoke about what is happening with your 3 cats but did you say if you have your dog? Just wondering…

I can feel your hurt and l know why you are crying. It's so emotional when you make a home and have to say good bye to it. Some people don't get attached but l do. It's the memories and how that place supported you through life, no matter what. It means you have a loyal personality, which is a good thing. Grief comes in many forms. Congratulations for doing it, it's for the right reasons.
