I definitely think this would go great with coffee! Hot or iced. Check around your bigger liquor stores. Full Throttle is a bigger brand and I have seen it for sale on line at big liquor stores that have physical locations.

Beautiful bottles! is the tequila from Nom 1580 good? I have a 375ml blanco from 1079 havent opened it yet.

It is a unique situation. Long story short, the distillery changed NOM numbers. Same distillery, new NOM. Some brands left when this happened some that stayed had different production methods used and different facilities used in making thier Tequila. So the new NOM 1580 is good, just not as delicious as 1079. Hope that helps. SALUD!

Is the tequila in the bottle from nom 1487 any good? I have seen a few with the old label but I didn’t buy them because it wasn’t from nom 1128

If the bottle looks like the empty bottle in this video, then yes, it is very tasty. I am not sure what happened but the new bottling is not as good. These old bottles are good for sipping but really makes a great mixer too. SALUD!

I always appreciate your perspective but I have the same DonV batch 4 & it's not earthen or savory, it's like G4 with the agave turned up to 11. I would even say it's sweeter than G4, I'm getting pear & a hint of floral honeysuckle. I have some savory mezcal & bacanora, DonV is pretty far from that flavor profile.

Thanks for the comments! We have tried a couple Sotols, not on the channel though. We did like them and we definitely need to try more and on the channel. We have not touched on Raicillas. So if you have any suggestions, we would love to hear them. SALUD!

I have been aging some blanco tequila in a chard oak barrel the last 4 weeks. I have sampled every week and refilled each time. It is amazing how the flavor changed in just that time.

Just picked up a bottle of the Puebla. Nice video. Btw. Puebla is a state in Mexico. So this mezcal is not from Oaxaca.

It's not additive free I purchase the reporsardo 2 years ago it was very sweet and gave me a headache after drinking.

I just tried the reposado. Very tasty but as a tequila drinker mezcals are a different animal. Agave is a pretty amazing plant. The taste difference from blue agave to mezcal is striking.

Good show, Reese. For those of us who live in 'alcohol repressed' parts of the country (like Arkansas!), I would really like to see a 40-proof only battle with blancos. Even better would be comparing the additive free tequilas only in that same 40-proof category. BTW, Colonial down in Little Rock has kicked it up a notch by putting in an 'additive-free' tequila section, which is nice to see, as the guy up here in Mtn Home isn't really a tequila guy, and didn't know much about what additive free was all about. I think a lot of rural areas are like that here, but if you want Cuervo and Patron, etc, you have no problem finding those. Thanks for the hard work. BTW, picked up a nice smoked ham at the little restaurant south of St. Joe a couple weeks ago.

Thank you for the comments! First, I so miss the smoked Meats from Courseys Smoked Meats! I bet that ham was delicious! Fun fact, I lived just up the highway from the restaurant. Great idea for the 40% Blancos! We will have to do that battle. Especially Blancos that are available today. Glad some great Tequila is getting in there. Usually if you ask them if they can get a brand in they can get a case to try to see if it will work out for them. Help them get the brand's you like in there and everyone wins. SALUD!
