People say that people are too harsh on Minecraft but literally almost every comment is people shilling and making excuses for the corporation 💀

I think 1.17 was a really bad update, the terrain generator is just to extreme, like if every single biome is a giant mountain, it stops being special

As someone who has always enjoyed embracing new stuff, i cant understand most people talking about C418s stuff. As you said, the new music and 1.18 generation makes discovering new terrain an absolute blast, since it captures that feeling of discovery when you first started playing. The Nether Update is easily my favorite and Caves and Cliffs close to it, and what did they have? Overhauls to world generation, massive changes to previously boring things, new soundtracks! I love just popping an Elytra or making a new world to roam on foot and exploring the world, knowing ill find something really cool along the way but not knowing where and when. Finding the Mushroom Island or a random Mansion still makes me happy, Villages to show theres some life, and with 1.21 i can have some challenge with the Trial Chambers (its actually kinda hard when youre not completely ready for it, and Ominous Trials can be literal hell if improperly prepaired). These updates make me want to explore more, not just do mega projects that i cant even complete. I want to find things ive only seen a handful of times, like Mansions and Trail Ruins, Mushroom Islands that are absolutely massive, cave systems that make me WANT to get lost in them and find an Ancient City to see if i can indeed shut up long enough to avoid the Warden lol. The new music just makes it feel more complete, even if i dont usually play with music on either. Most of it is too slow or calm and ill turn it off just because i get mad from it lol

I really don't want the expectation that every update should have huge amounts of content. Throughout minecraft's history, updates have been relatively small but frequent. Pushing MojangSoft to appease everyone and keep a hype train going will just dilute the game with ill-thought out features... like the knockback ground slam mace lol

I agree with this video. Too Expensive shouldn't excist, since removing it wouldn't brake the game anyway.

Yeah, Ive managed to get mending on my stuff that I care about, but the too expensive thing is one of the only things in minecraft I genuinely dislike. The other thing I hate is the netherite upgrade lol

It's unrelated BUT THE CAVES AND CLIFFS ANNOUNCEMENT VIDEO WAS UPLOADED 3 YEARS AGO ?!? what.... For now the update still feels unfinished to me what the hell. They added a lot of stuff but I feel like I'm still waiting for the cherry on top with that update. (It's probably about the bundles)

Honestly Im a mending fan purely cause I would rather die than lose my trusty tools over time. But yeah I just wish you could keep enchanting. Sure its an OP item now but I had to grind to make it so. Isnt that the point of XP and level costs? Also any enchants that are mutually exclusive to mending need to be either insane or very numerous but, they cant do that cause making efficiency or fortune not work with mending would be infuriating. So its just that scene from the boondocks just "Whats more important, weed or us?" "Weed!" "Man. He didnt even think about it"

This is one of several reasons why when i play bedrock (never mind you why i play bedrock) i never play pure survival. I would rather go watch the ending to series 4 sherlock 10 times than deal with grinding ridiculous amounts of xp and enchantment rng.

you have to wonder if mojang has changed their entire business structure to revolve around chasing the high that was the nether update. constantly adding new things. there are so many parity issues, bugs, old obsolete things like the anvil issues, and the combat system. all of that never gets brought up or worked on or anything. i remember when jens was actively posting new combat snapshots every few weeks. not to mention how unoptimized the game feels, it stutters so much when doing most anything unless you have an insane gpu. dont even get me started on minecarts
@potato13416 күн бұрын
Honestly, why not just do with the anvil what they did with the enchantment table? Offer a way to use the anvil without incurring an XP cost penalty? There are so many ways to do this. Maybe as part of treasure finds like from structure chests, mob drops, fishing etc. offer "smithing tools". However Mojang decides to add it, as a rare 1 time use that negates all XP drain or as an item with durability where 1 durability is used in place of a level when repairing/enchanting... Whatever they want, there's ways to make using anvils much less crappy. Than in their current state

Caves and Cliffs was what all the players begged for, but what we wanted was not quite what we thought. Caves and Cliffs ruined the game. Nobody wants to climb giant mountains that have absolutely nothing at the peak. The caves are neat, but it feels like a different game having to fight as you scower for diamonds. Maybe its nostalgia or just preferring the simplicity, but the game was better when you could just mine and let the games music carry you away.
@ChickenJoe-tq6xd7 сағат бұрын
For me the caves are way way too big, the smaller caves in the past were much more fun to explore and if you did find a big area it felt rare and cool, now every single cave is gigantic and so boring

Mojang runs the game like they don’t want people to play. I refuse to believe anyone in that company plays their own damn game without modsing it to hell.

I love the bundle. Caving with one of these lets you carry stacks and stacks of different ores, just by making them into blocks💰 The basis of a base (yknow crafting table, bookshelves, anvil, enchant table etc.) can be put in a single bundle. I haven't excavated lots, but on a template bust the bundle seems invaluable. Or you can gather ALL the different flowers in one go. I WOULD like to be able to 'rotate' the items in the bundle though) Want something in the bottom of the bundle? Right click with an item (or shift/ctrl click idk). Want the second thing? Extract from the bundle twice, so the top thing becomes the next top thing.

The worst thing is when you put a perfect book together for your sword just to find out the book is too expensive to be put on any tool 😂 100 XP levels burnt into a book that's literally unusable
@teresar63488 күн бұрын
I wish the price cap was dramatically higher for items that don't use mending, to the point it may as well not exist. 64 is in line with stacks but if not that we have 99 or 999. That way it both solves the price limitation and adds an interesting decision for mending books rather than being an obvious add on. Either you get mending which doesn't expend diamonds or you always have the ability to spend diamonds and EXP but are able to fully repair instantly (like for your silk touch tools)
@Mr_Maiq_The_Liar8 күн бұрын
Mojang needs to take a hard stance on "is putting all the non mutually exclusive enchantments on a single piece of equipment even possible" and "Should late game gear be renewable" and make the entire enchantment/repair system work around that. Cause having it be possible to put all the enchantments on a single equipment, but only if you combine books in a very specific way, and having late game gear be renewable, but only if repaired with mending not with anvils. That's just weird. IMO: late game gear should be renewable (and if mending makes it renewable the anvil should too), but it shouldn't be possible to put all non mutually exclusive enchantments on a single piece of equipment. In every game ever made that includes an enchanting mechanic the concept is far more interesting when the system exists to differentiate items from each other instead of generically improving them where items in the late game converge onto all items having all enchantments

Honestly, they should just remove level cost and make it really cheap to repair items. Just make it so you can't repair things like netherite on an anvil, and then it makes it redundant only AFTER you get access to netherite, of which you should have mending around anyways, which would still be more convenient.
