Hello Pierre, I would like to know where did you order your bag from ?
@SimpleHomeBrew
@SimpleHomeBrew Күн бұрын
If you are referring to the fermenter bag. I bought that from Keg king, it's quite cheap and protects the must from light.

Is it really $30 for the ingredients to make 4Litres? Im def not the target market lol
@SimpleHomeBrew
@SimpleHomeBrew 2 күн бұрын
No, it's $17.99 plus shipping. It comes fro the states and is around $20 freight. if you buy in bulk you get better deals. Ihave it to make experimentak beers so I can create a recipe without using too many ingredients.

@@SimpleHomeBrew $18 USD? As it's American website? Dollar crashing this week. So even more expensive! Love the detailed video of it anyways.

@@Rikkus81 your so right, I have australia as my dollar setting but the system still says USD. I don't recommend you buy this unit if you are Australian unless something big happens. I am just lucky to get for free and am going to experiment with it. Cheers

Great job and I covered a lot! Pierre, you are the 2nd person to mention 37 psi! I've not been able to get any of mine to go much over 24 psi during fermentation, and during cold crashing, it stays right around 12 psi. I'm wondering if there was a batch of kegs with a PRV issue. I've asked once and may ask again soon if they will offer a replacement PRV that sits around the 13 to 15 psi, as I know there are a couple out there at that psi, but they are not adapted for the iGulu. They REALLY need to over a PRV at those lower numbers to help, as it would fix an issue with the high psi during fermentation and avoid over-carbonating issues. My Amber turned out nice but it was a tad on the sweeter side too.

interesting device. For the beer drinker that wants his own beer without the fuss of brewing it. What do you think, will you use it instead of extract brews?

Olive oil on the silicone ring works wonders for fitting it in the mash tube. Drop the bottom screen, with the silicone ring, down the centre of the malt pipe at 90° to the malt pipe. As it reaches the bottom, put the ring against the seam of the malt pipe. For the last couple of centimetres, work the screen and the silicone ring around the malt pipe circumference, bit by bit. Making sure the silicone ring does not "fold" off the screen. You need to be gentle. With care, I get it to fit every single time.

G’day Pierre, good vid mate. Just one thing if I may comment is that when you were transferring your cracked grains from the bag into the mash pipe there was a lot of fine grain dust blowing up past your face and into the surrounding areas of your brewery. First up it is not good for you to be breathing that dust and the second thing is that many overlook and that is that the dust can settle on other brewing equipment and surfaces and can be a major cause of an infection if the dust comes in contact with anything used during fermentation. I crush my grain and add it outside then wheel the mash tun/kettle inside for the brew. Or quite often I just mash and boil outside the brew house. This is not a criticism mate, just a bit of advice..keep up the good work.
