I herd in the early years of pleasant company that they used Christmas ornaments for assccories they just took the part that you put on the tree. Then I think the saxophone is an Magic Attic club doll Assccories. I watched a video about them and on one of the book covers it had one of the characters playing it wearing a green dress I think her name was Rose or Rosey. None of the magic Attic club items were not marked unlike PC/AG

You made great choices! I definitely would’ve gotten Chrissa’s snow outfit, too. I love the sweater! The adventurer outfit is one of my favorites. The yoga outfit would’ve been a good choice, too…the cardigan is super versatile.

What a fun garage sale! I might have picked up Chrissa’s meet dress as she is a doll I wouldn’t mind having if I found her. I mainly collect historicals but I also like best friend dolls so it would be fun to have her with Gwen and Sonali. Chrissa’s snow suit is adorable. 😃

Saige looks so good in Kit's dress and I love Cecile in Addy's dress! Lea in Kira's camping outfit is cute (I featured that outfit in yesterday's video). Agreed that we don't see near enough green from AG. The red shoes from your favorite TM outfit are among my all-time favorite AG shoes. Great outfits! The 2008 on Addy’s dress is a random identifier and doesn’t mean the year. Based on the tag design, it’s likely from the early 2000s, before 2008. 2003-2004 would be my guess.. My favorite is Kit’s overalls. I’m a sucker for dolly overalls.

I only got her a few years before I put all my stuff in storage, so she was just displayed for a little while and then sat in her box until recently. Never played with or took her original hairstyle out, so it still looks nice!

My 1997 Felicity (my first AG and the only I had as a kid) has a loose spot in her wig cap as well and I think it’s due to age or just wasn’t glued the best in that spot in the first place. There’s an activity in the old American Girl Club handbook of the 1990s for trying [bobby] pin curls on yourself and your doll. For the doll, it’s only meant to be temporary (same as the directions in the old hair care kits with curlers) so no hot water dunk or anything. The curl design also looks different. The activity comes from her Changes book where she did pin curls. You did a nice job on your Samantha.

Brand new subscriber here. I think you did a great job with Samantha. And I imagine her wig cap was loose already at the back - sounds like she was enthusiastically loved ;-) If you get time, I'm curious about your thoughts on my approach to hair restoration - I have a video of me restoring Kira's hair in a Tutorials playlist on my channel and we have several steps in common, but do a few things differently. Anyway, very nice video and I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos.

Thanks for watching Kristie! I am by no means an expert but I did watch your Kira video. It looks like the main differences were that you steamed instead of hot water dunked the curls and used foam rollers. I found that the hot water dunk really helped to exponentially improve the softness and texture of the hair even more than the straightening for me, but I could see how steaming might do the same thing. I’ve never tried it, but I think it’s the same principle behind the two and you had some amazing results! I liked your trick of using pins with the rollers to not leave a dent, I’ll have to remember that for when I get some! I definitely think I will buy some to get those bigger, looser curls.

Thank you for sharing how you fixed up Samantha’s hair. I guess we learn by trial and error. I tried to fix up an old Samantha but instead of boil dunking I used steam and then the freezer. It looked nice at first but it didn’t hold. Boil dunking seems to work better. I see what you mean about the bobby pins. She still turned out good though! 😊

Nice box opening! I just got Evette too and I just love her. I already knew that I wouldn’t be touching her hair as I’ve heard all the complaints but if you leave it alone or do very little styling it looks very pretty. I love how you styled Sage! 🤗
