I'm on my 3rd one! Was lucky enough to fine a 60 size "Custom" finish one. Wow - it's a beauty. Before you say 3 - well I'm 72 years old. If you ever get the chance to own one - please take it. Yes Sir, it will tear up the skies and do anything you want and are capable of doing. I fell in love with the landings. That thick air foil will slow you down enough and make you look good. I lost 1 because I chose a bad day to fly. 90 degree crosswind and wind was steady at at least 15 knots and gusting to 25 but I wanted to fly. We were flying at a small airport back in those days - legal. Time to land and I had to crab walk 50 yards to a taxiway that allowed me to land into the wind. The plane flew well even in the cross wind - keep the power up. I made my downwind fine and then just lost my mind as I eased the power down to less that a quarter. The gust of wind hit me from behind so hard it blew my hat off. My Beautiful Army colored plane (My son was with 10th Mountain and somewhere in Iraq) turned into the wind and just seemed to hove like a gull for 2 seconds before stalling and hitting the runway! I cried and I knew what I had done. Live and learn. Pilot error - not the plane. My son is flying the "Custom" ARF Ultra Sport now.

I hooked mine up last night to real flight evolution but I am not actually on the airfield. Instead it is like a widescreen TV in front of me when I put my headeset on. I don't understand!

I recall Jason demonstrating hand-launching techniques with an EDF Mig15 in a video. He showcased inverted, wingtip, underhanded, and overhanded launches. Unfortunately, I'm unable to locate it on KZfaq. If Jason sees this, perhaps he could unearth it?

@@rcgvideos Thanks Jason. I was hoping to repost in RCGroups for a member who was skeptical about inverted hand launching. The physics of having the CG slung under the model gives it inherent stability, especially the MIG.

what i'm trying to figure out is can you connect to ad 350's to one rdx2 and discharge at 80 amps? I need to test cells for a solar install , cant find a good way to discharge fast

No way you'll be able to discharge at 80 amps on any charger I've seen.

Sad... Chinese RC products imports killed the US Radio control industries. Sig,Robart, Great planes, topflight,etc..Fomies and electric system made less modelers to build and the new generation don't even have an idea what an RC kit was. The soul of the hobby is gone and now is all about just flying whatever.

If this is a non sanctioned AMA field or event then the AMA shouldn't be involved, but they do have a lot of knowledge about running an RC event. Technically you were exempt from posting a Notam because of the "recommended" 400 AGL ceiling height but it was probably a good idea especially if the event was close to an airport or a victor airway. Just curious, how many pilots at this event had a RID module in their planes seeing this was not an FAA FRIA flying site,

Thanks for your review and video. Really helps. Progressive RC doesn't have the 5x cable in stock. Any alternatives and mind sharing what exact balance board is required? Sorry but just trying to get back to this hobby..

Randy has been a great representative for the hobby and the AMA but no matter how good a representative is, the AMA as an organization screwed us all with the draconian regulations and restrictions the FAA has steam rolled over all of us with virtually no resistance from the AMA until it was far too late. Our hobby is now at the mercy of the federal government and lobbyists can kick us out of the sky on a whim regardless of AMA membership or RFID compliance.

I was at a park recently that we've all enjoyed flying at for many years only to find it abandoned. We have been flying there for decades w/o incident and on a good weekend there would be 20 + people out there..I called around and most have taken up the few available spots at the AMA clubs whom, btw , I reckon fell asleep at the FAA meetings because they saw potential membership gains , Only a few bothered to get modules out of a sense of fear of prosecution.Others fly alone w/o rid installed in fear of being located by thieves and robbed or simply taken up another hobby. All because the FAA wants to control yet another aspect of our lives ...The toys we fly in parks 🙄.I saw a video recently that showed that the effective range of these travesties was at best 5 or 600 meters.. What kind of purpose does data with such a limited range have ?? NONE I SUSPECT... 👎🏼.. Good Job FAA/ AMA...cleaning up those over crowded flying fields and parks.. 👍🏼The FAA and the traitorous AMA can kick rocks to put it mildly

Why dont you make more balsa arf's. I dont like foam planes, don't seem to fly right, that's why I don't buy anymore of your models. Last one I bought was the 56.6" Aeronca Champ 15e over 10 years ago, still flies great.
