I've just realised something. That guy says 2 million dead in the first day another 7 by the end of the first week. Surely those numbers must be way off. The population of Earth according to mass effect is 11.4 Billion. The Reapers must have gotten way more than 2 million in the first day. My best guess is that he is referring just to London specifically (Currently has an official population of about 9 million though I'd guess at least 11 in reality and fast forward a couple hundred years with population growth and 15-20 million probably isn't much of a stretch especially if London continues to expand and absorb more surroundings areas like it is now).

i was thinking about this the other day: by the end of mass effect 3, the batarians are virtually non-existent (apart from the refugees), Thessia has pretty much fallen, palavan and earth are barely holding on. the amount of stress Shepard would have been experiencing would be unfathomable. they have seen Earth and Thessia fall, while being in near-constant combat for years. Shepard dies in combat, and then gets 'revived' and the first thing that happens, they start getting shot at, all the while, warning the rest of the galaxy about the Reapers but no-one (apart from a few) listening. literally trillions of lives all depend on Shepard, and they know they can't save them all.

Best series ever in video games history. Yes, even better than The Witcher series!

Love the cinematic but what I don't understand is, how did the Reapers get that close to the planet and attack before anyone ever noticed? Civilization this advanced would have to have some sort of intraplanetary surveillance and defense system that would have alerted the military and attacked the Reapers long before they reached the planet.

I just thought. If Shepard refused to make a choice, why didn't all Earth world leaders make the tough choice in launching all thier Nukes to stop the Reapers? The only possible way of stopping...or at least damage them.

I hated how earth centric this game was, honestly. And those dreams with that random child, ugh. Cheap sentimentality. It would've been better if Shepard were haunted by death squad members.
