4:17: Dave, Martin and Alan, the heart and soul of Depeche Mode❤ No disrespect to Andy, I bet he must have been a very nice guy to hang around with and it's very sad that he passed but if I had to choose between him and Alan, I wouldn't have to think twice. I'll never stop wondering what masterpieces these three would have created had Wilder remained in the band.

I miss these days when all that was needed in the music industry was just pure talent and these groups and solo artists at this time just knew how to give fans something to enjoy singing along and dancing along to..Did it so effortlessly This kicks today’s top 40 chr music groups and artists ass. All they care about is ass shaking and sexual vulgarities and bashing someone in their lyrics and most of all, money.

There is no way Fletch is playing that bass synth. The degree of clockwork-like technique to play bass on a synth to the degree that it sounds absolutely locked in consistently is not inconsiderable. A decent player like Alan would probably sound a bit loose, as would most decent players. A job like that is not for the unwashed. He might have done it before they got signed but no-one cared then. There was no precedent then. Fletch is not playing that synth.
