Brilliant video. I stripped the whole fuel system down and it still struggled to get going. After watching this I cleaned out the carburetor😁 and used Engine Starter Fluid. Works perfect now. THANK YOU

I do appreciate everything you showed, but unfortunately I had to replace both lines and was already broken off at the carb and primer . I'm not sure which connection is correct.

I'm about to try this. Have an older cub cadet zero turn and an older craftsman yts4000 rider that runs fine but it's a piece of crap. The craftsman GT5000 I have is a beast compared to the yts4000. Both are inferior to a zero turn I feel so I'll yank the Briggs and Stratton 24HP vtwin off the running yts and throw it on the zero turn. Since I have a running GT I'll roll the dice on the yts motor on the cub cadet. I appreciate the video just to see if it can be done. You're awesome my friend.

I got the lines wrong , it was frustrating bc I know the machine is a powerful engine and had never failed me before I just put the lines weong

I suppose the reason for higher octane fuel is that it has no alcohol in it that would destroy seals in the fuel system. I have two weed eaters that are 5 years old & they have used regular pump gas since day one. Dunno. Great video.

My guess this is in California because they have a really crappy table, in Michigan you just go down 20 ft if not higher and you start hitting water

thanks, My father in laws just quit running on me while going up hill. The fuel filter is nearly empty. I'll check it out tomorrow. see if fuel is draining into filter from tank and if so, try bleeding it. It tries to start and run real weak for a moment. A few seconds. You're video gave me a starting point.

To check for water you have to dump all the fuel Out cause the water stays on the bottom

Simple: Make sure the underside is clean . There are cooling ribs on the bottom of engine. Proper amount of oil. Clean air filter. It will start as it should.

worm-gear clamps are not bad as long as you don't over tighten them.

I don't think a small engine mechanic worked on it before you.

Another thing is you don’t grip the door all the way down. You put the grip like 4 inches above the roller which allows you to see if the door comes up off the ground while you are still up there where you can take a quarter turn off or so if it comes up on its own. This also prevents you from getting down on the ground and removing that grip and the door flying open because you put too much tension on the springs

Get some real bars hack.

It's also a good idea to pull the cap off the spark plug to prevent accidental engine start.

The previous home owners ran a buried an....extension cord out to our barn...Worked just fine until the dogs dug it up, and the lawn mower ran over it. So doing it this way should be very easy, with no worries. 👍
