Hamilton is a good watch but only competes in lower end market and I feel is held back to hold it’s position in that price range, as it would mainly compete against other swatch group brands. History is a factor but look at Bulova now for example. I believe just like what Christopher ward is doing, bremont will also continue to produce well made watches and the fact that they have a strong investor will only help the recognition of the brand. I don’t believe for a second you have actually tried a bremont watch because you wouldn’t try justifying your statement. No one would pay bremont prices for a Hamilton yet bremont continues to produce watches after 20 years, think about that !!!

You clearly value much different things in watches than me considering Bremont still is using eta/sellita bases on most of their watches (oh my, Hamilton also uses eta). If you think for a second just because of marketing and slightly better cases and dial work it’s all of a sudden a luxury watch worth much more?! That’s crazy. Imagine Porsche selling you a car and putting in a Volkswagen 2 ltr motor. You’d like that? Bremont isn’t a bad watch but over 3k for a basic Swiss mvt (micro brands sell similar watches/mvts for under 1k sometimes) is ripping you off. I’m glad you love the brand though! I’m sure you feel similarly towards Hublot in guessing?

Bremont timepieces are mediocre at best and overpriced. For the money, Tudor is significantly superior.

@@watching_nyc using cars as your example !!! And compare eta/sellita to a 2ltr engine !!! Bremont are around 3k there is not a lot of difference in movements at around that price range. A good in-house movement will cost around 5k and upwards. No one with a brain pays retail prices anymore and there are Bremont watches being sold for around 2k with a top grade eta/sellita that are very accurate and can be serviced anywhere for cheaper prices than an in-house movement. Your original post was comparing Hamilton that use a variant of an eta powermatic 80 movement (not a top grade version, I might add) to a bremont. I disagreed with your comment about them being better quality. I would agree that Tudor are a much better watch for the price but even they use eta/sellita movements in their lower end models so they can’t be that bad now can they. As for your Hublot comment, clearly you get your information from KZfaq influencers, I would suggest try experiencing a watch for yourself and not just taking other peoples opinions. Do you honestly believe they are not sponsored or getting financial gain from advertising certain brands. Also for a brand that are hated on social platforms Hublot seem to do quite well with a huge amount of celebrities wearing their watches. Although Hublot is not my cup of tea, I respect the fact that other people like them and are willing to buy one.

Hamilton is a good watch but at least look at the watches for yourself in person and not follow others that make similar comments without ever wearing one. I have experienced both and there is a reason for the difference in price. If you have the same opinion after that, fair enough.

@@wayne9241 I see your point but their history of falsifying what they call “in house” mvt has killed their reputation to many. Throw in price point and the fact they were only founded in 2002 makes them an infant in the industry. I’d rather take the company that started in 1892 and doesn’t try to sell itself as false luxury. I’ll be honest, I haven’t seen the newest bremonts with the mvt made by horage but I’m betting its price point doesn’t match the product.

Says someone who's never seen a Bremont in the metal....trite comment by a groupthink bandwagon jumper. As someone with a Rolex YM, 2 high-end Omegas & 2 Tudor BB GMTs ('Coke' & the 'Rootbeer') ...Bremonts are well made & many are very good-looking pieces if you can get past the ignorant prejudice of morons like this dude^ but they are a bit overpriced imho.

@@ph8077 I certainly have and I’m well aware of their short 22 yr history (specially their false claims of “in house mvts” in the past). Granted I haven’t seen the newest ones with the horage mvts (in house? Maybe assembled in house) but price point and lack of any real history are also why one should stay away imo. My last comment defending myself btw was deleted so hopefully this censorship doesn’t continue.
