Nice one mate spent yesterday stripping it all down and the intake was hitting what you refer to as the thermostat housing so it won't come out! See you remove those two bolts and one stud, slide the part of then voila 👍😊

literally my intake manifold cracked while doing the dpf regen stationary and coolant started pissing out. THis should be recalled what a dumb design . Unbelievable !

Can you let the alloy polished without clear coat ? Will it get corroded if you don't ? Or is this just for looks ?

this is not the proper way to refurbish diamond cut wheels, you need a diamond cutting lathe to achieve that OEM polished face finish.

useful video but with one major flaw - you left the dust cap off the Tyre valve for the whole process, which is a pretty dusty process ! not good for the valve unfortunately

Primer is only sanded if there is a defect. Assuming the surface was perfect and primer was laid evenly, no sanding is required.

For bare aluminium you need DTM (direct to metal) clear coat. Otherwise any different one will peel off after a year or two

You can use use none DTM clear coat if you use adhesive promoter before

On your recommendation i bought one. Within 5 days had 3 customers .. already paid for itself and it works. Always avoided buying a kit as never cone across one that works😮

Same here, every other kit I have was terrible. Mines still going strong after 3 years. (Remember to warm the sockets 😀).

I just bought a Citroen C3 MKII with these wheels, and they are a mess. Loads of curb rash and failed clear coat. I've watched a good few of your videos, so I feel confident having a go.

poor job, only scuffed half the wheel, didn`t take valves out, no proper degreasing/ silicone removal, not enough drying between layers of paint

How else are you supposed to do it when it’s a bare finish? 😂 if they were re diamond cut they would have the face re cut until they were smooth again. Different tool. Same outcome

You know what you’re doing. But where do you think that fine aluminum dust from all that grinding is going? I can see the cloud in the video and I didn’t see any eye protection or mask on your head. I’ve been doing paint rims you name for 50 years. I like it. But it. I’ve also known guys that were in a hurry,I got downdraft I’m outside I’m an idiot and they all have one thing in common. They don’t have to care anymore. Get you some quality goggles that fit over a particulate respirator when you’re grinding that aluminum,pal. Or not,but you don’t want to know what that fine aluminim dust does to your lungs and eyes after awhile.

I have done this before on my MC40 and a Infinti G35 but have not tried to do it on my Porsche Macan because no one has the exact paint code for the wheels, my have to go to the dealer.
