I would've won there at the end if I wait 4 more days with the caps, so that they are impossible to decap in time, but I was tired, and had a really bad week irl and just wanted to rest, so instead just kinda threw the game. I apologize to my opponents, and everybody rooting for me there.

I have a question for you. Why do not not build the UHQ building that gives money per unit dying in the region on the region Hark oppresses? It is not worth getting that one?

It absolutely can be, but at that point I was kinda at the point where I knew I was never gonna win on CHOAM, and only wanted to get 30%, so I focused on fixing other resources. Where I didn't, the extra spice also can pay out better if the prices are good, and you are collecting enough (like in the end I was at +500).

Spice tax gives a flat 1000 hegemony bonus, and I saw the tax timer was ticking down. (It's on the top left corner of the screen under the CHOAM button.)

Yea, Corrino is a bit prone to RNG and since I didn't have good village traits for it, I was unable to get a good intel production going.

would you elaborate on refusing the vernius non aggro pact in the beginning? Seemed to me that getting access to his tech, mostly the choam left side, would have been an amazing boon.

It has a cascading effect, I only gain the techs they have researched, while they get more knowledge off of me, and have the piece of mind that I won't be attacking them, I also felt it would be a 50 influence waste, since we were 100% going to fight over either Wreck, or the spice that eventually did fight over. It also gives him free reign to box me in further by raiding villages nearby me. There's a lot of reasons to not accept it, but it's not objectively the right choice honestly.

Nah, that was the most fun part of the match for me tbh, I knew I stepped up my back cap too late, and I also lost a ton of authority by just sitting on 500, instead of back capping while liberating, so I was just hoping for the robot man to win so that we could have 2 consecutive Vernius champions lol

From you guide on the Turin discord I see you say that micro is really important for smugs. I usually bind all my snipers on a hotkey so I don't have to click them all the time. Is there a reason you don't do it?

I do it if I feel the need to do it, I didn't feel it that bad in this game, and usually early to mid game the micro revolves more around moving single units.
