So I've been doing a rewatch of the show and literally in the first season, they straight up say that Reid is autistic. To be fair, an unsub said it while they were trying hurt the team. Nobody denies it, but Morgan puts his hand on Reid's shoulder in support. For so long I just assumed it was fanon but!!!! It's canon!!!!

Seeing how the team so often shuts him down, I would ask him to continue, I find infodumping so intresting

Gideon seems to be the only one to truly listen to Reid he didn't interrupt him as much as the others did and would actually listen to him when he spoke. In the one clip in this video that Gidion speaks he doesn't interrupt Reid he waits for him to pause then comments and again let's reid talk and reply back to his comment without interrupting him showing how much he cares.

It honestly really upsets me whenever the others cut him off. Nothing is worse than when a person makes you think that your interests or whatever makes you excited is boring or uninteresting.

Gideon would be so proud of Reid and I love to think Gideon and Reid were still talking between Season 3 and Season 10 without the team knowing about it.

Reid is so adorable and sweet. As a neurodivergent person it makes me so sad when people are rude or dismissive towards him when he infodumps, his intelligence is incredible. I would let him infodump at me all day lolol 💜

People always talk about how the rambling is cute. It’s difficult for people who mask and don’t info dump and then they get comfortable and feel okay and it’s cute until it isn’t cute for the partner/friend. I know the team sometimes tease him but I also hate it in some ways because he probably has spent his entire life without someone who would actually just let him info dump and just listen with joy.

So he has ADHD with a, bit of ASD, lovely, I love rambling. It’s so fun, also why would you decline coffee, more caffeine is always better, I have a vacation during probably interesting, so special interest. I’m at the people often have a hard time telling the difference between the two, which I don’t really understand why, it’s incredibly easy to tell the difference, although that might just be because I am somebody with ADHD and ASD.

I HATE IT WHEN HE'S CUT OFF IN A RUDE WAY i get that most of his colleagues aren't interested in what he says, and i respect it when they stop him when it's not the right time or place to ramble about something off-topic, especially in their job... but sometimes they're just too rude. that's the main reason i hated seaver: she immediately mocked him when he started talking about doctor who. my blood boils in that scene, she was so inconsiderate! the rest of the team goes a bit too far sometimes as well - they love bragging about their genius team member, but they rarely let him ramble in casual conversations, or they joke about him being a nerd and a know-it-all. i also kind of relate to him, i tend to infodump or ramble about my favorite tv shows, and sometimes i drop random facts about stuff, but they're usually met with silence or mindless nodding. i've also been "jokingly" insulted because of my high grades... as if i didn't work hard for them. can you imagine people mocking reid for getting phds, and saying it must have been "so easy" for him? i'm sure he still had to work hard for them! anyway if i met reid irl, i'd love to talk with him, i could listen to his facts for hours. i'm sure he has very interesting things to say.

It's so sad that this show is almost 2 decades old now because it means a large amount of the facts Reid gave in the earlier seasons (especially mental health related ones) are mostly debunked or have been further researched since the mid to late 00's - so any information they had was incomplete/misinformed. Also the statistics are going to be almost all different now even if they haven't been rereported since then 💔 he's still smart af it's just a shame I can't steal his fun facts
