I never knew it was pronounced earth-sea. I have always pronounced it with 3 syllables, as earth-sea-ah. I was a kid when I first read it. This was the first time I’ve ever heard anyone say it out loud. I guess that’s what happens when you read something that no one else you know has read so you never talk about it out loud with anyone. 🤷‍♂️

Such a rarity to have Arbutus Folk School in our community. Hillary and Bethany are treasures & I hope Washingtonians who are interested in philanthropy in art begin by giving to this beautifully accessible and rare arts non-profit in Olympia. I would love to see this school be able to expand it's ceramic department significantly in size. The students are here, we just need a designated ceramics space that can accommodate the much needed art therapy that clay work fulfills. Love love love this place!

I've only been reading the books and using Final Draft for a few months now but everything covered elegantly distilled my understanding of what I've been studying. Hey, Josh! Thanks for sharing all your info. Frankly, I find Final Draft to be a rather arrogant program. Not unlike MS-Word. I've used Movie Magic Screenwriter for over 20 years and prefer it over FD. Can't speak to the current version of FD, but MMSW allows you to make one-pixel page-layout changes whereas FD didn't/doesn't. This was really important back when only paper copies were accepted because if your printer was "off" from the screen view by just one pixel, a form feed would occur. Even today, I can insure a line stays at the bottom of a page by adjusting the page element spacing by as little as 0.001". And if the thousandth-of-an-inch alteration bothers a producer, well... Also, regarding elements, I've found one can essentially place the camera without using "SHOT" simply by how you craft a sentence or paragraph.

I am happy to see how our education leaders are planning to set up the future for our children. I am also looking forward to a funding program for free or reduced lunch for all. As a father of three school age students in middle and high school, the cost of daily breakfast and lunch can be very expensive. Thank you for this program and content.

I cannot think of my seventh grade year without knowing it was shaped by reading The Tombs of Atuan: "I thought also of another thing between us. Call it trust. ... That is one of its names. It is a very great thing. Though each of us alone is weak, having that we are strong, stronger than the Powers of the Dark." I know some of those names, thanks to her. She is done with doing; she has gone home.
