One problem with Lordship salvation is a logical contradiction. LS people often say that it is the Holy Spirit working in you when you quit certain bad habits/ sins. Ok. But if you do not, then they say it's a lack of effort on your part. As you are dealing with psychology: Once, I saw a psychologist who explained that such religious thinking is similar to the thought patterns of depressed people. Since such people tend to attribute their mistakes and failures to themselves, but their successes and achievements to external circumstances ("I was just lucky and didn't even deserve it"). So this is unhealthy thinking of neurotic people. I believe the gospel, if it's understood correctly, doesn't make people neurotic. Of course, salvation can't be achieved by our effort. But we shouldn't beat ourselves up because of our little sins and failures, either.

5:00 amen.. i’m so apprehensive to tell any christian about my anxiety/ocd/ occasional depression… because of the religious blah blah they will throw at me.. which is so rude. They wouldn’t do the same to someone with cancer.. but mental health is a free for all for whatever reason. It’s terrible. I think everyone in free grace has a good previous legalist history , that’s what led us to the truth of the glorious gospel of grace.. it sets free! The burden is light, hallelujah. As for repenting of sins, if I could, I wouldn’t need Jesus. I can’t stop sinning on my own.. only Jesus has the power to overcome sin.. so if He works in me to change me and stop a particular sin-hallelujah, if i’m to struggle with it until i’m glorified-hallelujah. Good vid bro

"if I could, I wouldn't need Jesus" This reminds me of a recent interview with old John McArthur. I think John McArthur isn't known as a free gracer, but old men often become more clement. When he was asked about salvation and the necessity of repentance, McArthur said that the trajectory of your life had to be Christ. But there was no perfect repentance. And he said: "If I could lose my salvation, I would. If I could, I would." So, in the end, it seems to come down to this for every Christian.😉

Yes Jesus was a friend to outcasts and sinners. Wish the church could be more like that. The biggest reason I don’t go to church even though I believe in God/Jesus and the gospel etc is because I feel like an outcast/don’t belong in there. I know God wants me to attend a church, but for the life of me I can’t. Because being gay puts up a wall between me and other Christians. The last church I attended I didn’t tell anyone, and that church was fine. Couldn’t make one complaint, but I still felt like ai didn’t belong there. What with couples having children, older couples still married or the singles looking for getting married. I don’t think I was meant to get married, but seeing all the straight couples and stuff just reinforces my view of not belonging in the church.

Thank you so much for this video . I felt so unworthy of God's love. That I turned to drugs and it got bad that I was on a Herione habbit that I didn't care if I lived. But I was broken so bad that I said Bobby give it one more chance . I went to church asking to deliver me from both. God let me see that the addiction and my dishonesty ways to get the drug . Well the church said God won't help you until stop being Gay. I cried and said being gay isn't killing me , Herione was killing me. Then the church called out. I cried Ren off and didn't go back for years. Three weeks later I over dosed and after I did I quit cold turkey without Suboxone for withdrawals. God was my withdrawal medication and I really felt that he was telling me . I love you Bobby .they are wrong and how they should scare people away from me . I don't agree with it that want my plan but, the love for God grew abd it over whelmed me so much I quit going to clubs for meaningless sex. I found someone that I love and we been together for 11 years now. But, he still hasn't taken the lust of the opposite sex away . Like he rather see two people in love and love Him too than to completely give up. I still ask for forgiveness but I'm still in love . And religion throws sodom and gamor in my face. What I have with Darrell is nothing like rapeing someone against their will. Plus if the emotions are still there after 20 years of me asking to be freed from it. I rather not live a lie and potentially hurt someone by saying I'm free of being gay. I try hard to be the best version of me I can be but obviously I fall short. And it's not because I'm justifying my sin. And I know being with both is not fair to anyone. . You helped me a lot

God bless you. This is a great testimony. I commend you for sharing this and thank you for not giving into your desires. One scripture I do want to note is Matthew 7:22-23, Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ So yes, we are ONLY saved by Jesus's grace and blood but God calls us to live in obedience and follow HIS laws too. Other versions of this say get away from me you who practice lawlessness. The bible also claims 1 Corinthians 6:9, which is not exclusive to homosexuality. As Christians we are called to crucify our flesh, in all sin. I really commend you for this. Also, one thing I want to mention too,,,, DELIVERANCE. Homosexuality is a spirit. Seek deliverance, go on Isaiah Saldviar's deliverance map for someone near you. God does not desire you to have these demons tormenting you. Luke 4:18, Mark 16:17.
@christianconvos
@christianconvos 15 күн бұрын
Hello Samantha, thank you for your kind words. Regarding Matthew 7:22-23, these people actually didn't enter Heaven because they were relying on their works and obedience to save them, rather than believing on Christ alone ("did we not prophesy in your name, cast out devils, and in your name do many wonderful works?"). If you read the verse right beforehand in 7:21, Jesus says that not everyone who says LORD LORD will enter Heaven, but only the one who does the will of The Father. As we then see in Scripture in John 6:39-40, Jesus tells us that the will of the Father is to believe on The One whom He sent. The people in Matthew 7:21-23 were trusting in their works, obedience, and behavior to save them, not The Savior to save them. Yes, I agree we definitely SHOULD repent of sins and live a life worthy to our calling as Scripture says, but this is rather just something we do because we are saved, not to be saved. Hope this makes sense!
@jesusislord852
@jesusislord852 14 күн бұрын
@@christianconvos Exactly but Jesus calls us to follow his ways as He is the same yesterday today and forever. As Christians we are called to die to self, Philippians 1:21. It is by Jesus Christ alone we can get into heaven, but people do not get into heaven just because they say they believe in Jesus. They need to have a RELATIONSHIP. Relationships require dying to self and spending time with the father. Matthew 18:3 I tell you the truth unless you turn from your sins and become like little children you will never get into the Kingdom. We are called to turn from our sins and repent. It is absolutely a fact we are saved by grace alone which I agree with you, but we are called to die to self daily. If Christ lives in you, you cannot be the same, Holy Spirit will change you. There are many wills of the Father, yes to know Jesus mainly, but also for us to join in His Kingdom, and His personal will/purpose He has created for each person specifically. For example, God's will for me may have things in common with you, but others not. Regarding the passage of Matt 7: 21-23, it does not say anywhere that the people relied exclusively on their works. There is likely more behind that. This passage also illudes to people in the future, not the past when Jesus was speaking. In fact, it says that the people will say to Jesus and call Him LORD "Not everyone who calls out to ME Lord, Lord". So here we can say that they called Jesus, Lord and were doing His works, but we can assume they were likely living lives for themselves and not dying to Christ. If you read the Bible from start to finish, Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever. In the Old Testament there were very strict laws and laws that some may view as more reasonable. For example, with Christ, He has cleansed us all and we can eat previously noted unclean animals. Now, since we are under new covenant, there is a new order (to us) because the human race is sinful. (Thank God) He alone is the key to heaven, which we both agree on, but God does not just call us to live lukewarm lives. Revelation says He actually vomits out the lukewarm (rev 3:15-16). God calls us to fight the good fight. For anyone reading this, the solution here is Jesus, and by the Holy Spirit, deliverance. Although we are plagued by demons and tormented inside, God provided a way out. Jesus is Lord and He is the only way to the Father. He is the only solution to our problems. He is the light of the world. Obey Him, do what is good, help others, but most importantly honor & spend time with Him because He is beyond worthy. God bless.

But lately since the start of this week i have been struggling with thoughts saying i am gay when i am not attracted to men but women. It started very randomly and has been giving anxiety alot but now it just has me confused. I never had any attraction to any man in my life and literally the day before all this started i was attracted to a girl that i know. Now i get these weird constant thoughts sqying i am gay and thoughts trying to convince me i am when i don't want to. I am very confused and bothered by this.
