A lot of these clothings are new and are not what Hausa women wore pre colonial Nigeria. It’s very important that we understand as Hausa people that we were colonised by the British and forced to become Nigerians, it isn’t by choice. The more “Nigeria” continues the more we will slowly lose Islam as the Hausa are not in control of the media in Nigeria. It’s imperative that we understand that Hausa people have had to sacrifice the most in Nigeria from a historical perspective. If we continue on this trajectory of putting the British made colony over our Islamic beliefs which made us who we are we shouldn’t cry at the calamities that befall us.
