Donald is a MUCH better dancer AND singer than Gene!! sorry folks, but it's true!

Gene always seemed forced to me, both in performance and personality.....full of himself, pushy and automatic. too 'trained'. Donald is.....soft, easy, fluid. he presents as kind, funny, loving and having natural talent. so beautiful. just perfect. a 'Mr Rogers' of the dance world.

Larry’s lack of singing is made up by his terrific comedic timing. Classic

2:23 Donald O’Connor’s choreography from 1952’s Singin’ in the Rain musical dance number Make ‘Em Laugh was rewritten into this 1959 TV version, with a new different song called “Smile, Darn You, Smile”.

Chevalier aged like a very fine Port Wine. Becoming better over time. While his voice might be changing, his charm and musicality improved as years went by. Thank you for this great video.

He was born in 1925, so he would have been 43 or 44 here - yet he could still do a cartwheel and a pratfall with that amazing agility. Remarkable.

You quickly pick up on how vaudevillians like Berle and Youngman had their acts honed to be masterpieces of timing, allowing for ad libs but very strategic with crafted joke-telling. Those guys were comedy artisans!

Rumor has it Kelly was a financial backer of the IRA in the 70s. No idea how he could possibly go from doing this to conspiring with terrorists but that’s the world we live in.

The last dance is "Moses Supposes" from Singin' in the Rain, but the music is different. If you watch the movie, though, you'll see the choreography is identical.

The harmony of Nat King Cole and Stubby Kay was priceless!! Banjo, piano, guitar, and voices. The opening credits were amazing! Jane Fonda was my crush, and Lee Marvin earned that Oscar. Hullabaloo brother 😂❤
