I had no idea all of the prep work was so complicated....no wonder tickets have to be priced as they are. This show was worth double what they charged though. It was so upbeat and fun. Made me appreciate all the extraordinary one-of-a-kind people in my life...The cast was pitch perfect in all ways possible.

It’s surprising how small the Broadway theatres are on stage. You definitely can’t hang out back there. Then you on your and you are in cavernous spaces sometimes with off stage space a wide as the stage itself.

The actors in the windows, where do they go when the house prop goes up?
@benwusten51792 жыл бұрын
They do stand on the Balcony actually. When the House Goes up the Girls on the upper floor are standing on the Delta Nu "inside" Set already and one Girl the one who opens the N Stands on the already in place Stairs. When they close the Windows they stand back after they locked the Windows and go down the Poles attached to the set to continue the scene. The set in the begining is a tight squeze. You see in the London run that they didnt had the Space for the Inside Dorm set so they all had to stand on the Stairs during the Opening. Hope that brought some light haha. =D

WHY IS EVERYTHING HERE MEMEABLE Fav quotes: “If you have seen any shows that have a jerk boyfriend in the show? I’m that guy” “He was kinda a jerk he had slaves.” “I got a big Japanese fanbase.” “You only need to be a blonde in Japan” “I got in there and they sensed my presence and closed down 3 weeks later” “I just appeared in Spamalot as the utility character who... falls down quite a bit” “I’m not ashamed to shill for corporate America” “Bruiser should probably have the second-to-last curtain call.” “I was actually talked to about the possibility of relinquishing my dressing room to the dogs and they were going to put me in some kind of pen.” “There is, um, treat dispensers added now backstage where there used to be water. And so, that’s not gonna be good for the cast’s hydration...” “They don’t lie they don’t cheat they don’t come in hungover” “Dogs don’t have egos that’s why I work with them” “I don’t think it’s intended for men to try” -> “I have been using it in real life and I have to tell you, the bend-and-snap works very well” “My hair was blonde probably until I hit puberty, which was like... two years ago.” “But that’s because I, am, a, *social recluse*”

The costume design was ok , not anything special. The hair and wig design was absolutely horrid and ruined the show for me almost. Definitely ruined Elle.

I'm a visual learner so I love directors that walk through the parts (choreo in particular). I hate directors that tell you to do ridiculous things that just don't work. As opposed to ones who show you exactly what they want and also try and see how it feels to do something or logistically how it actually is to do it before they ask it of you. If that makes sense.

2:13 Could someone explain how an actor gets to "see" in the dark? I mean, how did they communicate to her what the technicians were able to see in the infrared screen? It's tough to make blackouts safe
