I rarely shopped at Town Center....now I will definately stay away.

We sit and watch everyday the parking. Most of the parking on the west side of the street is occopied the entire day by employees of several of the businesses. Also, the handicapped spots are occupied almost every day by people who are not handicapped or have cars with placard or plates for handicapped. I don't see that changing. Will there be monitoring and enforcement of the meters that people are actually feeding them? I think it is a great addition to the parking situations for the businesses. We love University Place so very much. A great place to live. Thank you for keeping it beautiful and safe for everyone.

I think free time-constrained parking enforcement would be a more equitable solution. Locking priveledged parking spots behind a toll favors the wealthy, and you are still going to need to hire parking enforcement regardless to ensure compliance. I never stay there long anyways, I don't want to eat my ice cream in the dusty gravel downwind of the gas fire pit. 😶‍🌫️

New revenue stream through parking tickets. Maybe a new FTE for “parking enforcement” to generate that income. Let’s call it what it is. $$$ to the city budget. PR Spin is PR Spin. That youtube production value was pretty good too. Good job.

If only the rules were enforced.... maybe the neighbors would stop catching my lawn on fire with their illegal fireworks... :(

I remember years ago me and my dad hiked down creek from Kobayashi to the fish trap late summer. But we had to hike the creek. Will be interesting to see trails that run along the whole creek... I just hope as more people have access to said areas there isn't a bunch of littering... Put some garbage cans along the trails

No means NO! Let's talk awareness... Property Taxes IS NOT the only revenue stream that the city has. They have increased and/or implemented new revenue sources that hit EVERY household in UP in recent years, TO INCLUDE: Transportation Benefit District, Surface Water Management, Utility Tax, Franchise Fees, Sales Tax. ALL of these happened at the city council meeting WITHOUT A VOTE. There's more to come. The state is right now getting ready to lift the 1% annual increase of local levies to 3% annually. My property taxes have increased 99% since 2006. DOUBLE! Numbers everywhere... they are looking to increase the city portion of the property tax in APRIL 53% - FIFTY THREE PERCENT. They're spending better then $112,000 to run this special ballot issue ALL BY ITSELF. They didn't want it to land on the same ballot at the schools or the fire district. NO MEANS NO! Let's make sure they hear us.

When will the side streets in University Place actually have street lights!? It's a huge safety issue. We certainly have fancy lantern style lights on main streets. Can we just have some basic street lights on residential side streets? It's so bizarre Fircrest seems to be able to provide that but lights out in University Place!
