React to his daughter Lisa Marie Presley. Video Lights Out or Idiot her music videos are amazing. Do the duets she did with her dad they fused them to make them look like they are singing together

Check out some of Steve's solo work that's more recent. On his solo album "Traces" you hear a mellower, more mature voice with a touch of that grit you were looking for.

This is one of my favourite queen concerts along with live at wembley. I remember hearing about the crowd being told not to make noise and move around because they where filming really annoyed Freddie. Loved seeing Freddie playing crazy little thing called love on 12 string was cool when I saw this on vhs. Got to get this on blu ray for me now.

I saw this show on tv with my father, a musician, who usually was very critical towards fakes and poor performances. Even he was deeply impressed by Elvis' voice and performance that night. That says a lot.

in the throws of heart failure, colon fcked, gluchoma (nearly blind), lungs fckd, depression etc etc - absolutely done and should never have been up there - was on so much meds for so many illnesses (and did become addicted to the pain killers as a result) and because he never complained, was labelled a junkie. Was excessive with them and his food as well, but only things which made him happy at the end was eating and being up there singing - poor guy and has never been recognised for his amazing voice because of his good looks, charisma and then decline in his appearance. And ye his cant of a manager worked him to the bone and all his hangers on / spongers were happy to sit back and let him to suppliment their lifestyles

Hi Trevor! Stumbled upon your channel and love your stuff so far. There's not enough ways to say how incredible Freddie was and how incredible it was that he put this vocal together in the midst of everything. There's also a really good version from a tribute concert in 1992 where Elton John does it with the surviving members. I hope you found a way to get to a concert, if not hopefully they'll come back!

2:15 Like you said, it's different from the '75 recording, at this point he knew he way dying of HIV/AIDS (or at least knew something was wrong)...and you can almost hear the significant amount of despair in his voice when he says, "Born at all" and "Carry on, Carry on." like he already knew his life was ending...

ELVIS PASSED AWAY JUST 6 WEEKS LATER AFTER THIS CONCERT. HE WAS 42 YEARS OLD AND HE PASSED ON THE 16 OF AUGUST 1977. I WAS 24 YEARS OLD. MY LIFE JUST FELL APART. WE REALLY COULD’T BELIEVE IT. HE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND SO POWERFUL TILL THE END .ELVIS HATED TO LET HIS FANS DOWN.HE THOUGHT SO MUCH OF US. HIS SO CALLED MANGER DROVE ELVIS INTO THE GROUND. WHILE ELVIS WAS PERFORMING HE WAS LOOSING MILLIONS ON GAMBLING. ELVIS WAS HIS MEAL TICKET. ELVIS WAS GIVEN DRUGS BY HIS DOCTORS.UPPERS AND DOWNERS . IT WAS TOTALLY DISGUSTING THE WAY HE WAS TREATED. ELVIS WILL ALWAYS BE THE KINDEST AND THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER THAT EVER LIVED.NO ONE CAN POSSIBLY TOUCH HIM. I MISS HIM EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF EVERY SINGLE DAY. This is Elvis just week before his death. That he was able to do what he did here is incredible, considering his physical state. I hope that you aim to dig deeper into The King. His journey from 1954-1977 is a unique one. The United States of America has had 46 presidents, but only one King! And his kingdom is worldwide.

I saw him in concert the month before this. It was 05/20/1977, and I was age 15. I have been to a vast number of both rock and country concerts, including the shows of numerous absolute legends. The Elvis concert eclipsed them all. It was a multi-sensory experience. There were no light shows, pyrotechnics, or other such things. There were only the singers, musicians, and spotlights. Of course, there was no Autotune. Visually, his showmanship was unmatched, auditorially, not only was his voice unmatched, but recordings and videos cannot begin to capture the musical experience, with his voice backed by an unparalleled rhythm section, a choir of back-up singers, and a full-fledged orchestra. Then, there was also the physical sensation of the music on one’s body, especially with J.D. Sumner’s bass voice causing literal vibrations of one’s chest. All the musical elements combined to fill the arena and completely wrap around the listener. The smell of popcorn was there too, and made it a complete 5 sense experience. That is not all, however. On top of all that, the preconcert anticipation, the dramatic entry to the stage, with the theme from “2001, a Space Odyssey,” which only Elvis could have pulled off in legitimate fashion, the indescribable electrical atmosphere in the arena, and the other-worldly charisma that Elvis exuded made that experience seem almost unreal, as I reflect back upon it. It was an amazing experience that cannot be reproduced. There are some very good Elvis tribute artists, but the actual experience will never be recaptured.

Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and listen and truly take in and understand what Elvis was going through at this stage in his all too short life and career. Many others just make comments about his weight, but you didn't just jump in and be judgemental. You felt the emotion of the situation and the performance and appreciated the effort he put into it for us, his fans. He never let us down, even when he was so ill that he shouldn't really have been performing. He was very ill at this point and, yes, he was bloated as you said (not fat from overeating as others would imply), but his amazing voice never left him. Thank you so much for this great reaction. Now you really should go back and look at more performance from the greatest entertainer that ever lived - and, yes, he was an all round entertainer, not just a singer. He was also a kind, caring, generous and humble human being, as you have already begun to notice. He loved his fans and always had time for us and we loved him back and we still love him 47 years after his sad and untimely death ❤ You asked for any suggestions. Well, here are links to a couple of songs for you to start with. Firstly, the most powerful and passionate performance ever. This is 'If I can Dream' from his '68 Comeback Special and I'm sure many others will recommend this one and we will tell you more about how this song and this performance came about if you react to it kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q5Ogg8KVqMvSenU.htmlsi=NHs2x1vflEZRdXC5 (make sure you watch the performance where he is wearing the white suit). Here's a link to his live performance of 'In The Ghetto' another song with very meaningful lyrics that, unfortunately, still rings true today kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aLWoZLeg18udnqs.htmlsi=413CaGiX9yEoHPub I can assure you that you will thoroughly enjoy diving down this rabbit hole and many Elvis fans (including myself) will come along with you for the ride - the long ride, that is, as he recorded over 700 songs, and made 31 movies, a couple of documentaries and several TV appearances. Enjoy.... 😊

This was the last time Elvis was filmed in concert, his last concert took place a few days later on July 26th 1977, he would die just 6 weeks later aged 42. In the 7 years of touring during the 70s he performed over 650 concerts, which is equal to spending 2 years on stage every single day. That was an exhausting schedule by any standards. Elvis was physically exhausted, suffered from a number of medical conditions, from glaucoma, colon disease and more. He needed a break, he needed to take time to recover and re invent himself again. However despite his health and weight he packed the concert venues and gave everything he had to his fans. Truly an amazing performer and human being.

This was not his last performance -- this was the last FILMED performance -- he went on to do another concert on June 26th that was not filmed, in Indianapolis. He was severely ill w-multiple health issues, some of which he had no control over as they were genetically inherited. (I subbed, & will be there as long as you keep up w-Elvis.)

The "Destined To Die Young" book is an attempt to alter history, but it fails. We all know why Elvis died. There is no shame in addiction unless you are deluded or a religious fanatic in denial.
