Great tutorial for GLK transmission fluid service. Does the GLK 350 transfer case share the transmission fluid? Or, is the transfer case fluid replacement a separate service?

Comment - I would not use a pry bar in the magnesium valve covers. If they are stuck use a rubber mallet and maybe a block of wood to tap them free.

Make sure you do a stress test on the caliper next time you let it dangle on the brake line by putting all your body weight on it. Then remember ad a mechanic to raise your liability insurance for your shop by $10m dollars. That should complete the installation.

Thank you for this video! I got few questions: 1) Should you extract 150ml of old oil before putting back 150ml of a new oil? 2) I wonder how much oil could be held there before it starts overflowing? 3) Did you apply some kind of high temp thread sealant or high temp tape on that plug before putting it back?

Not very clear on how/why to use the 17mm plug lead wrench tool. And a warning not to pull on the lead with your hand would be wise. Also, I think it's a good idea to blow out the spark plug wells with compressed air before removing the plugs. Dirt can accumulate there and can fall into the cylinder when the plug is removed.

Currently dealing with this helllike situation. Coolant mixed up in my tranny, luckily for me, I noticed it on time n I did my 2nd flush, it drives fine on D but when i switch to R it delays n vibrates before engaging. Wanna do d 3rd flush next week n if that doesn't fix it, I'll looking towards a rebuilt🥂

What is the engine code? Size? What other models share the engine?
@ron85666 ай бұрын
The engine size does not matter. The V8 and V6 both use the magnesium valve covers and they look nearly identical, so the process is entirely the same.
@ron85666 ай бұрын
I note that it does not matter since all of the old V8 and V6 engines use the magnesium valve covers and the process to repair is identical.

It is about a half a cup of gas. I cut a water bottle in half, and used it to capture the gas rather than letting it leak all over everything.
