The best of all was that no one knew what the Matrix was, there was almost no information on the internet, no videos or photos were leaked, so we entered the cinema without knowing what to expect and we had one of the best action scenes of all time.

I remember being a lil kid when my parents rented the matrix a couple years after it came out and i wasn't allowed to watch it. So my brother and I snuck outside our bedroom window all the way behind the house to the backyard where the living room window overlooked the couch and TV and we pretty much stood outside for the entire movie. We could barely contain our excitement when this scene was going on, good times. 😂😂😂

I just watched this movie yesterday, and god damn I missed the hell out on so many good action scenes. I'm so glad I never spoiled myself on this film, it's genuinely amazing.

The more often I watch this, the more I think why all the unnecessary deaths? Nemo could just have passed by the guards instead of just murdering them. And could the other guards at least vaguely aim in the direction of the person they are trying to shoot? Yeah, I know, but then we'd had less action.

I love the foreshadowing. 😂

One of the villainous perfections. On par with vader, the emperor, and Judge Holden. Neo is a great counterpart.

I think I remember hearing that the piece that falls off at the end was not planned but just happened, it was perfect.

something that always bothered me about this scene is that these guards were innocent humans, they weren't programs and it wasn't their fault for being there, and the armed ones only came when they killed those in the guardhouse, they could have easily just knocked them out and walked in in the building without anyone noticing them, but then they went there and decided to kill innocent people, this really bothers me a lot

Seeing this in theaters as a 14 year old, it is difficult to express how mind blowing this entire movie experience was. It left you feeling electricity in your body and mind for days, years, a permanently mind altering shock to the system. Going back, it gets better, and better every time you see it. This is cinema, art, music, story, all perfectly combining into the greatest scene in movie history. There is nothing like it, or this movie, it is that good. My favorite movie of all time.
