I've never tried freezer paper. Great video explaining it. I just found the QAL so I'm already way behind!

Help! My 5 month old Bernina Q16 will not turn on past the Home Screen that says “user update” at the top and then “checking updates on stick”. I went to the Bernina website. Unzipped and downloaded the firmware update. Plugged the USB into the machine and got the message “loading bootloader”. The bar did not progress after 3 hours. Nothing. No response at all. Has this ever happened to you. I have only had the machine 5 months, almost daily use. This is my first Bernina and I am so upset and disappointed. Of course this happened on a Sunday! I will call my dealer tomorrow. But I am just sew upset. Any insight?

I am having a terrible time getting the method to come out the correct size. I have watched your fpp video multiple times. Is there another way to make these blocks? Even using a ruler to trace the lines onto freezer paper and having all the pieces be the same size and line up the points is driving me crazy. It might be my eyes or glasses or complete lack of drawing talent. Help!

Hi, for those that need subtitles, you can click the ‘more’ button and scroll down to ‘show transcript’. This will give you the subtitles on the side bar.

I wish one of you quilters would hold your finished block up close to the camera so the audience could see it. I saw my first example of this pattern on a small cotton purse I bought at a church fair way back in the 80s. It was handmade from Africa. The little folded parts appeared to be woven at the corners. I have since discarded the little purse so I can't examine it .

I would love to see the other side where you sit. How close are your legs to the shelves? What's the width of the top compared to the shelves? Is there overhang? I love your set up. How do you get the top cut so perfectly for your machine? Thank you.

Hi Irene and thank you very much for this easy to watch demonstration 🎉.I have a Singer Legacy and it has a lid you have to use so loading the machine might be different but you have answered my question very well. Thanks you Hugs. Wendy XXXX

I didn’t get to watch the live one… But I’m enjoying the recorded versions. I had a total knee replacement 8 days ago, so things are still a lil rough… but healing is coming, one day at a time! I love my book 📕! And these blocks are adorable!! 🥰 Hopefully I can get in the next live view! Keep up the great work!❣️. 🥰😁💙

I had a jelly roll and did the jelly roll race quilt and then i quilted each row with different stitches. Now when i want to free motion quilting i pull out the jelly roll quilt to see how the different stitches look and then i can practice the stitch i like on a scrap sandwich before i tackle the newest quilt. One lady in town does one test block of quilting it allows her to see how well the block works and if it looks like the pattern. She puts these sample blocks in a bag and when i was learning to free motion quilting i would take a block and make a sandwich and quilt it. She would then go over the quilting i did and offer tips. For her 75th birthday she did 75 quilts and she gifted her guests with a quilt.
