BLM was a complete farce and the BLM protests that turned into riots is a stain on the left equal to that of Jan 6. The entire movement was on the grounds that black people are killed by cops disproportionately and that hasn't turned out to be the case. Every case that was an unjust killing turned out to be a perversion of the actual facts and a just killing. The BLM protests that turned into riots were conducted during a covid lockdown and thus were morally unjust. The death of George Floyd at worst was negligence, not murder based on all available evidence. This makes the protests a complete embarrassment. Tony Timpa died exactly the same way a few years before and was white. No media attention, no moral outrage. You have a problem with the cops? Might not want to make it about race. I'll give you this much: racism against black people in America is still an issue. But the media have drummed up such an outrage, we will feel this reverberate for decades to come. The media and BLM have set back justice movements overall.
