I am 63 and have heard a lot of singers but when i first heard Adam he beat everyone before, including ,ALL !!!!!!!! what a voice .

It was fun to see the Glee performances.Haven’t watched them in ages. Very entertaining and fun!

I’m so so happy that Queen asked Adam to join them. Because of Adam, Queen earned new fans, and us old timers 😉 get the chance to hear them play live again. What I love the most is the so many younger people have been introduced to the Queen catalogue of masterpieces (🙏 Freddie 😇) and have become Queen fans!!

I quit watching years ago because of the biased voting. I saw how the voting went with someone who might come across as being gay. It didn’t matter if it was a fact…not that it should matter anyway. My oldest daughter still watches it. When KZfaq started, she would once in a while send me a link to her favorite singer, hoping that I would like him (always a male singer) also and start watching Idol again - so we could chat about it together. But I was never really impressed with anyone enough to watch the show again. So for many seasons, she quit trying…UNTIL she sent me a link to someone telling me that if this guy didn’t impress me enough to watch his journey on the show, then there’s no hope for me 😆. She sent 3 links…the show still had 2 more shows before the finale, so really 3. I watched all 3 performances of this guy named Adam Lambert and she was right. And I couldn’t believe that he didn’t already have a recording contract. But I told her that he would not win because I’m pretty sure he’s gay. (My son is gay and he gave “gaydar”) She said she was pretty sure he is but she thought the public had grown enough for not caring, especially how obviously talented Adam was/is. I told I hope she’s right, but I had my doubts. She asked me if I would watch the rest of the season with her so we could chat about the show. I told her that I can’t, because I already really really like Adam and I can’t watch him lose just because he’s gay. She was a little mad telling me that I was wrong and when Adam wins she’s going to say “Ha ha told you so”. She called me after the finale fit to be tied. She was going off about how stupid people are, etc. She said “I guess you can tell me Ha ha told you so”. I told her no, but it sucks that his talent might never be shared with us anymore. I told her maybe a record company would have seen him on the show and he’ll record. She then said that she wished that I had seen the performances, because Queen was performing with Adam and (the other guy??) and it was awesome to hear their music again. 📌 I have to say that, maybe my head was in the sand, but I hadn’t heard anything from or about Queen since Freddie was gone. When they appeared on Idol, without John, I assumed a couple of things…maybe John passed away & Queen came out of retirement just to perform on the show. When a link became available, she sent it to me. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I never thought that anyone could be another frontman for Queen until I watched Adam perform with them. The other guy seemed so out of place, maybe not his genre. But Adam sang as if he belonged there. So after watching that performance, a few times because of how good it was, I told my daughter, not being serious at all, “Maybe Brian & Roger/Queen will come out of retirement and make Adam their frontman” Of course I later discovered that they never “retired” John and very much alive, but had no interest in rejoining the band 🙁, and Queen had played with various singers over the years, and even once added a singer to the name Paul ?? I can’t remember his last name. But I watched a video of him with Queen. NOPE NOPE NOPE. That wasn’t Queen. He’s a good singer, but not with Queen. But Adam - Would be perfect. A few years later, my daughter heard about Adam touring with Queen as their new lead singer, she called me and asked me if I was psychic? I told no, psychotic maybe 😆, but psychic no. She told me about Queen. I was so happy and I follow them now…I know how to use Google too 🤣 It’s been a gift to hear Queen again 📌 That same daughter got tickets to see Queen & Adam Lambert last November (2023) in San Francisco. But did she ask if I wanted to go too (buying my own ticket)? Hell no she didn’t 🥺😢😡 My point when I started this comment a hundred years ago is that I quit watching Idol because of ignorant voters.

The homophobes who used their votes to make sure that Adam didn’t come in at first place must be SOOOO 🅿️i$$ed about how they actually helped him to be the actual winner!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I will say, I think majority of people were very shocked when Adam / didn’t win, but at the same time he’s gone on to make a great career for himself for sure

I also loved Chris Allen and I even bought his first CD. They’re both great, but they’re in their own ways.

I will reiterate Sawyer Fredericks was on the voice, but same goes. Haven’t watched much of either of them since then I just haven’t seen someone that is it inspired me.
