After watching this video I mounted my gatorskins on 420 american classics rims. I'm the least experienced tire repair guy in our group and I always end up watching the guys change out my tube. Only had to use tire irons the last 8". My group would be surprised I did it quickly by myself. Thanks for this video I feel a little more confident now. Hope I remember!

I purchased a Ruban 29x2.6 tire and the dealer claimed that it can support tubeless, alone I noticed that the tire is not labeled "TUBELESS READY" like other models. Is it tubeless ready?

this looks like a pretty good tire for when you're riding 10km on the road to get to your trails... I wouldn't mind trying this tire on the front and then maybe on the back too (for mountain biking)

Continental 5000s 28mm Just put 2 of them on tonite(I’ve probably had 20 - 30 conti 5000 tires since I started riding road bikes in 2018) There the only tire I buy There $50 a piece but the clincher 28mm make it for a smooth ride and don’t flat easy they are strong and grippy This is such a good video I’m glad I came across You German folk are killin it!

Ausgiebige Versuchsreihen im Hause CONTI haben schon in den 80er Jahren gezeigt, bei zu hohem Luftdruck ist die Felge das Teil das meistens zerstört wird. Der Reifen ist belastbarer als die gewöhnlichen Felgen.

Just got new rims and Cross King's 2.3 front 2.2 rear . I really like the tire's. Put them on a 1988 Specialized Stump jumper. Rolling quick !! Thank you Continental 👍

Das Video hat mich ehrlich gesagt nicht vom Hocker gerissen. Darin ist nichts neues zu erfahren. Es ist bei den aktuellen Modellen fast unmöglich, einen Mantel ohne große Schwierigkeiten zu montieren. Hab vor einiger Zeit mal eine Mail nach Continental geschickt. Es ging um das Thema Tubeless. Bisher keine Antwort und Reaktion. Irgendwie habe ich ein mulmiges Gefühl, wenn ich mal einen Platten habe, was mir im letzten Jahr öfter passiert ist. Der GP 5000 ist in Sachen Defektanfälligkeit kein Fortschritt gegenüber dem GP 4000. Vielleicht Anlass, die Marke nach jahrzehntelanger Nutzung zu wechseln.

Wenn das in der Realität so einfach wäre. Ich fahre auf Straße und Gelände ausschließlich Continental Reifen. Vor allem die Straßenreifen sind kaum montierbar. Keine Ahnung, woran das liegt, aber ich habe mir sogar schon einen stabilen Reifenheber geschrottet, beim dem Versuch, die GP4 Season zu montieren. Mir graut es schon jetzt davor, wenn ich mal einen Platten haben sollte.

So far, Race King has been my fav. I will give Ruban a chance, this season!

Ich hab mehrere Schlauch reifen geklebt aber von Continental reifen und Kleber bin ich raus ! Ich bleibe jetzt bei Vittoria Reifen sitzen sehr gut und die Kleber hält ewig!

2:12 völlig unrealistische Darstellung- mit viel Glück kriegt man heute so einen Drecksreifen in ner halben Stunde von der Felge runter u. in der selben Zeit wieder drauf, mir sind alle Kunstoffmontierhebel abgebrochen, habe jetzt metallene, früher konnte man am Straßenrand in 5Minuten so ein Teil wechseln,weiß nicht was sich die Firmen bei den heutigen Konstruktionen denken

I llways use allot of talcum powder on the tube and also inside of the tire which helps it seat well and also prevents pinch flats and dry rot.

I'm running kryptotal front and Xynotal rear. Loving it

Very disappointed with these. On both tyres I have leakage directly out of the thread area. Multiple wet patches can be seen where the sealant is escaping. The tyres lose ca. 10 psi per day. DT Swiss rims checked, re-taped, 3 different sealants. No success. Won't be buying them again 😞

Continental tubulars definitely lack 1 or 2 cm in the perimeter. Throughout my life I have tried Sprinter, GP4000s II and Gatorskin all without exception they are a headache to install new. They are better tubulars than Vittoria, Schwalbe or Michelin (when the French made them) but the perimeter of the Conti is absurdly smaller, even leaving it inflated at 8 bar for a week before the final gluing.

I’m currently on Pirelli Cinturato Gravel M 45mm tires on my flat-bar, hardtail gravel/XC bike, but very interested in giving these a try. The Cinturato are fast on the road and dirt but can be lacking braking and cornering traction. These look more grippy but curious how much pavement speed they lose.
