How thick should the texture coat render be? Also we just did our place with Rockcote, looks amazing, but can still see the plastic corner beads? Is that normal? And its easy to scratch of the render at those plastic corners? Its a sand medium finish I believe. Every where else is great, but dont know why the corners are still showing? Any advice please?

do you have any products which can provide a radiant heat and flameproof coating ? Manufacturers dont seem to have noticed that Australia has had a bushfire once or twice in the last 250 years

Maybe go out the front, to the tool section, and pick up a hawk. Amazing tool, but looks like you need a lesson on it! Never seen anyone apply render soooo badly.🤣

hi ...can rockcoat be used to carve blocks or what ever shapes people want with say 10mm /15mm thick render build up to achieve that thickness ..cement rock carving type of deal on over blueboard ..or do you know of any lightweight render products suitable for thick 15mm or more applications for carving rock features etc ...cheers
@RockcoteVideo Жыл бұрын
Hi The Celt, Unfortunately none of our cement based render is suitable for application over blueboard due to the movement of the substrate which will lead to cracking. Rockcote recommend either Polymer Render Grey or Off White over blueboard or alternative changed the substrate.

This is exactly how I have dreamed a home should be. You guys have totally nailed it! Why Australians don’t adopt design measures, like internal courtyard areas like Morocco and Italy create so beautifully. This home is utterly exquisite. The built in areas made with Marrakesh are stunning & again I often wonder why this isn’t done more. I’m so happy for you guys to raise your family in such a magical home, amongst the sway of the grasses in the garden, areas to hide and places to connect. I love this place !!

Can you use blueboard sheet for external use outdoors along with rendering ?
@RockcoteVideo Жыл бұрын
Hi Robert, Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Yes, you can render over FC Sheeting and it's suitable for exterior use. The key is to patch & prep with mesh over joints and use a polymer render basecoat. Give us a call if you require further information 1300 736 668.

Hi Thomas, Thank you for your enquiry. Let us know which product are you referring to: Finecote or Marrakesh?
@thomascairnduff57512 жыл бұрын
@@RockcoteAustralia Hey i think its the marrakesh in the shower in this video. also do you guys do any training in western australia perth?
@RockcoteAustralia2 жыл бұрын
Hi @@thomascairnduff5751 Rockcote does not recommended or warrant the use of Marrakesh in areas of continual damp or areas submerged in water with includes shower walls or floors etc. However saying that we understand that there are some of the more skilled and experienced Artisans chose to use Marrakesh in these areas and offer their own warranties which they themselves support, independently of Rockcote. Unfortunately there are no workshops being held by Rockcote at this point in time. With Regards Rockcote

Can you Darken up the second coat to give a 2 shade finish like Venetian
@RockcoteVideo2 жыл бұрын
Hi, you can definitive use different strength of oxides between coats and work your trowel to achieve similar effect as to Venetian Plaster. Just note that Smooth Set will give you a matt finish rather than a polished Venetian Plaster. If you like to know more please give us a call on 1300 736 668.

Just wondering if you have a product which does the same ( without the wire ) I would tape joints but still has paint on.Have you a product which covers uneven surfaces. Thanks. Pom

At 6:19 doesn't look too good in the bottom corner of the window nor at 6:24 at bottom of the window from left to right - especially in the lower right hand corner. Doesn't look as if it's been applied evenly down the left side of the window at 6:25 as the camera moves upward either! Sorry guys for being nit-picky but if you had done this job for me, I'd be asking you to fix it before you moved on.

Totally agree about the customer care. I have been in the rendering industry since I was 12, when I used to work on the school holidays for my brother in law. I remember Bob coming to site a lot. We use rockcote on nearly all our projects and when we get complements on our level of finish it's usually a rockcote product.
