The fact that she's wearing a smart watch inside the jail is mind blowing. Do that at my institution and you could get fired.

How is corrections law enforcement? They don't enforce laws, just jail rules.

One thing that struck me from her presentation was how much she really cares about the people she's protecting. She really impressed me with her devotion to her occupation. Thanks for your input, Day in Life

I think Ms. Snaza would be better suited as a mental heath professional of some sort rather than a CO or detention officer. She doesn't talk at all about security.

My recruiters back in 2013-14 absolutely did not help me the way that this guy’s did. Mine lied to me about how I could get a SEAL contract, and about many other things throughout every single step of my enlistment process. I ended up getting an unexpected discharge in bootcamp as a direct result of listening to their advice, and there was another SEAL candidate hopeful who shipped out just a few months before me from the same recruiting station, and he also got unexpectedly discharged out of bootcamp. My set of recruiters were a group of liars who wanted to meet their quotas by any means necessary, including by lying about how to obtain a SEAL contract. This guy got lucky with a good one.

A bit of background. I decided to offer young people an opportunity to be more prepared for encounters with law enforcement by sharing this presentation. Young people. I appreciate the comments and dialogue.

Just an interaction between 2 people?? BS! I live paycheck to paycheck and I can't afford hundreds of dollars to pay a ticket or to hire an attorney to fight it or to take time off work to go to court over some petty crap so getting pulled over would be pretty fucking scary. Really sick of all of the government overreach going on in today's society. I know you're trying to get us to see you as human but you aren't real people.

Then don't speed or break the law.....if you don't want the government in your business then don't drive. It's the most regulated. Driving is not a right. So take some personal responsibility for your actions and drive the speed limit and keep your stuff in order if you can't afford it.

Most cops are arrogant ass holes that think you are supposed to kiss there shoe's and they are on such power trips that they can do or say anything that they want and they want you to know that you're nothing but a. Dog to them if you say anything they don't like they can put you in jail just for laughs knowing that the charges will be dropped by then your car is impounded you have to pay bail and all that crap and then they have qualified immunity and they wonder why nobody trust them. And no I'm not a criminal no felonies but. Some traffic tickets but that has been the majority of encounters with cops for me

People are uncomfortable being pulled over by law-enforcement for one simple reason. Law-enforcement has become completely lawless. We know that you are not our friends. We know that you hate the people you swore to protect and serve. We know that you hate the constitution you swore to uphold and defend. If you want us to trust you, then end things like qualified immunity. That would be a good start. Show us that you are willing to be held accountable for your actions. Until then we will never trust you. Train yourself on constitutional rights. And stop using officer safety as a reason to pull your gun. Quit being cowards.

"The pioneers of a warless world are the young men and women who refuse military service. He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder." -Albert Einstein

I spent four years in the Navy in the early 1990’s in Southern California. I spent my days lifting lots of free weights at the base gym, playing football, or hanging at the beach. I was pretty much a shit bag, but I had a lot of fun.
