@RideJBI2 күн бұрын
That's correct. This is the JBI Fauxshima coating. The Kashmia coating will vary between KYB, WP, and Showa due to the type of alloy each suspension brand uses.

Love you work, it’s crazy how many people in the pits cling onto the word cone valve but have no idea what it is they have just heard there mate say it and they actually feel pretty average to ride I’d be surprised if any of the top teams running wp forks actually use the shitty cone! Convert back to conventional style and they are good again go figure you’d have to be pissed to buy a set of these and have to convert them back to basically a KYB fork internally! Great option tho for the guys that have been suckered into wp’s marketing

It’s already been said why 450 go first lol. When nbc is the main broadcaster (they provide the equipment, but still same production team) 450 go first because to a new viewer the 450 class is viewed as the “big dogs” and 250 is the smaller feeder class. (True fans know both are different for different reasons like jmart. He was a 250 main guy) When nbc is broadcasting it’s going from a show to live tv. Usually it’s coming from a live sport event and the fans leaving the tv on will see our sport. So show them the big names in 450 is the thought process When 250 goes first it’s peacock broadcasting and equipment so it maintains the schedule. I don’t agree with this^^ but it’s why they do it. I believe the 250 story line is why we watch 450’s…. You don’t get a 450 guy without 250 results.

What is better, Yamaha YZ450F 2025 or Honda CRF450R 2025 in terms of speed, power, technology and road holding?
@RideJBI7 күн бұрын
Hey Adam! Thanks for reaching out and leaving a comment. I hesitate to give you a definite answer as we do not have any ride time on the 2025 Honda CRF450R or 2025 YZ450F. However, we do know both are amazing bikes and have interesting updates for the new model year. For 2025, Honda is advertising a "bending control valve" which JB thinks is Honda's version of a leaf spring style midvalve. We commonly use a leaf spring style midvalve in our DIY kits. For Yamaha, their advertising new delta-shaped piston shims in the fork for enhanced stability, traction and a more planted front-end feel. We're also no stranger to utilizing delta shims here at Ride JBI in our DIY kits. Stay tuned to our KZfaq channel as we will have 2025 CRF and YZ/YZF content coming to you soon. If you have any questions don't hesitate to give us a call at 480-269-5585. - Anthony

I’ve read through the comments, but am confused. I have a 2023 KTM 250SXF. Once I learned about the swingarm and chain issues, I changed my chain tension to be 65mm on a bike stand with the rear shock and linkage connected. Then I disconnected the shock from the linkage. I tested the wheel from the ground to the fender. I found at 68 mm I could go from the ground to the fender without the chain binding. It definitely got tighter at one point, but not anywhere near as tight as yours where it looked liked it was binding. The chain had slack and the wheel could spin freely.
@GNR3258 күн бұрын
I've read that the 250F has sacrificed bottom end power for mid/top due to the bigger air box. Have you experienced this and do you think that will be more important on the 250FX model? I would think GNCC racers wouldn't want to lose the bottom end power that made the Yamaha so dersirable.

Yes and no. Look at the Hondas. You couldn't add all that to the bike with that cost. It would coat more to build that bike then to buy the works edition.

Just out of curiosity, why not go a little more in detail about changes made? I get that there is time and money invested in finding what works well, thats why people bring you work. But for the people watching maybe not go shim by shim per say, but something along the line of "we opened or closed the midvalve float a bit, pulled some low speed dampening out of the compression stack, etc etc". Just food for thought, i appreciate the clean shop btw, looks awesome 👌🏼
