I have a really cool photograph (color Kodak snap shot) of Bill Mumy - IN his Will Robinson costume , playing an acoustic guitar - in from of an audience. He looked like he was in the final year of Lost In Space. Anyone know where it was from ?

This had something that know other had been able to do to see what a family be like if they went to outer space to the planets to have a family doing that has never been done before by any other person that know one has never seen before by any means of doing anything like it it was a one of a kind that was being done for the first time to think about what it would be like if a family was going to go in space then any one else going to space

-I will be receiving my 353 page book from you guys in about 2 or 3 days and can't wait to start reading it plus checking all the pictures. I will be taking my time reading it b/c i want it to last me over a year. After that i will use the book to just check back on things now & then. Money well spent is the way i see it. Of all the sci fys on tv today including Star Trek I can truthfully say Lost In Space is without doubt my most favorite. I have several Favorites So i will just name a few (WEST OF MARS--VISIT TO A HOSTILE PLANET--THE SPACE CROPPERS w/Sherry Jackson & The girl from the green dimension)Due to limited space i had to leave out 6 more.--So thank you Bill & Angela for spending the many hours on this book to get it ready for all your many many fans & myself.(7/17/2022)----UPDATE: I RECEIVE MY LOST IN SPACE BOOK 7/20/2022. And Wow The hard cover was a glossy purple.I had a chance to thumb through the book and the pictures were really great & many were of episodes that I had seen.-A great book at a bargain fair price.

-Space Croppers was a great episode as well as many other episodes of Lost In Space But the Space Croppers had the very pretty, shapely & sexy Sherry Jackson in that episode. In this episode her brother is a werewolf that turns back to human as Keal. This one is season 1 and in B&W.But still one of my very favorites.-The WEST OF MARS episode has Doc Smith playing 2 roles. He plays himself the Doc & ZENO the bad outlaw. This one is in color & in season 2.

I was trying to see if I could find anyone that recently watched the first-season of Lost in Space (1965). I watched the 2nd and 3rd season last year, but held off on watching the 1st season because I remember it as not fun, from when I was a kid watching early 70s reruns. Fortunately I caught the 1st episode on tv, and I was blown-away! The black-and-white filming made all the difference in mood, because unlike color, the shots had to be carefully composed an balanced. And it is as beautiful as the best-photographed and composed episodes of The Outer Limits. A trick I learned to be able to guage the visual-composition and tonal- quality of a tv-show, is to turn the color all the way off on your monitor. If it's all grey and muddy, the director and photographer were relying solely on color to hold the eye. If you see solid blacks, solid-whites and tonal-clarity between the charachters and their surroundings, then you have a photographer that understands the basics of design! The patriarchal and authoritarian-stuff doesn't translate to today, but otherwise it was brilliant! Dr. Smith was the most textbook-example of a psychopath that I've ever seen. I'd like to get your opinion on the camerawork. To me it was the most cinematic, and experimental-photograpy that I think I've ever seen in a tv show! Let me know your opinion!

I agree about the camera work. I've said for years season 1 was right up there with Outer Limits. It's very interesting to hear how, as a child, you didn't like Season 1 as much, but as an adult, preferred it. I bet that applied to a LOT of youngsters back then!

I would just as soon pay the regular price and have more profits go to my favorite 2 stars Bill & Angela. And Y not. They spent a lot of time & effort w/this book and put there All into it. This book was a bargain even without a discount.

I watched this episode before this podcast and I was glad they touched on the contrast between the serious stern 1997 POTUS in the pilot and the actual 1997 President Clinton and his imagined comments about all the "cuties on board" the Jupiter 2 for Major West to help him colonize that new planet.

I'm old enough to have watched Lost in Space when it originally aired back in the 60s, And then there was the continues reruns through the 70s.. Campy or not, The show has a Special place in my childhood heart.. Course the first part of the first season was some pretty good no nonsense Scify for the day.. That's before Irwin Allen said to Johnathan Harris: I know what your doing.. Do More!

I went back and rewatched The Reluctant Stowaway after watching this podcast. The presenters made some good observations, but I didn't understand why foreign governments would want to sabotage the mission unless they just wanted to be the first to have a colony on another planet. But that would be taking an awful risk with the earth if it was really that awfully overcrowded.
