I absolutely knew about the naval war during the American Civil War. I also know they even had warships and freaking submarines! I know about the trench warfare and guerilla tactics were even employed. They had house to house urban fighting as well. Addendum- What's up with the news article at time stamp 8:03? It looks like a helicopter can be seen in the background?

None of the images or illustrations shown during the segment on Humphrey Davies were an arc lamp. They were rather examples of the 'Davies lamp', another Davies invention which involved enclosing the flame of miners' lamps in a metal mesh to prevent ignition. Though by the same inventor, they were neither electric nor an arc lamp, and showing first a picture of one, followed by a series of images of different types( one of which, half in frame when the video cuts away, clearly labels the parts and functions of said lamp!) and nothing else throughout the segment doesn't help gain more views or subscribers. People come to facts channels to learn something interesting they didn't know before, so things like this matter - be more careful in the future.

Elizabeth I Tudor shaped history???? how? not getting married? Because the Spanish Armada (never called Invincible, that's an English invention) was “defeated” by the weather and now... even when the English did the same by sending their ships to Spain, almost all the ships were destroyed, by the people not the weather, not just some as in the Spanish case, and in the end Spain won the Anglo-Spanish war. .I can't see what notable thing Elizabeth did, except, of course, a bunch of Hollywood movies. What happens to Isabel I of Castile? He sponsored the discovery of America, made humanity's first declarations of human rights and a treaty on indigenous peoples, banned slavery of indigenous people, introduced women's education, and passed laws that helped women keep their property and their money, in abusive relationships or if their husbands committed crimes. She made Castile the most powerful power in the world and the first global empire... Elizabeth Tudor only sponsored pirates, a noble goal, and a really great one. And left England's empty treasury, but, of course, hundreds of dresses and killer makeup

To be honest we can't say if Lady Rochford was a good or bad person because we weren't there in the 1500s so we can't just say oh she's a villain or that she is a hero because we obviously werent there

Was Lady Rochford power hungry, or threatened? Henry wanted to divorce and rid himself of Anne; who'd "proven she couldn't provide a son." By proving adultery, that is how he was able to divorce and execute her.

Funny you can judge her but not my cousin Anne, she was not a nice woman, she took Henry from his wife and child with a long run scream and she paid for hurting his wife and daughter, why do you think Henry did not see Mary? It was because Anne demanded she be sent away, she did not want a reminder she stole her father from her mother, imagine how you would feel if you were Mary, caste aside , now imagine your loved one was taken and you De throned, Anne was a screaming harlet, she did not deserve to die, but she did not deserve to be queen either, neither does Camilla Parker bowles

@GingerPeacenik
@GingerPeacenik Жыл бұрын
Except that Mozart was performing at various courts at the age of 6, while Bolongna didn’t start composing until he was 31, and Mozart was 20. Bolongna was busy becoming a master equestrian, the greatest Swordsman in France (the European title belonged to an Italian, but he barely bested Bolongna), and one of the most skilled marksmen in Europe, as well as having a well rounded education in philosophy, history, and mathematics. While Mozart focused solely on music, Bologna not only produced musical masterpieces, but became a decorated colonel in the military. General Thomas Alexandre Dumas, who had a similar pedigree and was father of author Alexander Dumas, was trained by him and served under him.
@kimt1237
@kimt1237 Жыл бұрын
Exactly. He was not permitted to play for large audiences when he was younger due to the color of his skin. They also have evidence that Mozart took bars directly from St Georges. So yes Mozart is the white St Georges if we adopt the phrasing from the previous post.
@kastaagir
@kastaagir Жыл бұрын
@@GingerPeacenik it doesn’t change anything, St george was performing before Mozart did, so he (StGeorge) can’t be his spiritual disciple. And by the way, Alexander Dumas was also black. His nickname was the « stincky nword. »

Let's be realistic here St Georges was O K but compared to Mozart he was 2nd rate - there were literally hundreds of European composers especially Italian, French. Germany and Bohemian ones who were superior to St George - i could list dozens if you wanted me to : Boccherini,Vanhal,Stamitz,Mozart's father Leopold, Haydn, Kozeluh , Johann Christian Bach and so so many others. St Geeorges talent is highly exaggerated.
