The one about that family member is so disturbing. Im so sorry you dealt with that. I absolutely hate what they said! You are beautiful, no matter what! ❤️don’t listen to those external voices. This world is not always truthful. Only God knows what’s best. ❤ Thank you for sharing your story. Protect your beautiful dark skin!

This is so sad that now in 2024, people in African are bleaching their skins more than ever, the saddest of all is a big percentage of the people that use bleaching products are men, including some so called pastors. This is sad because in Africa they are not even comparing themselves to white people but have decided that the lighter skinned you are, the more beautiful you are. I pray that people who do this wake up and realise that they are beautiful just as God made them. Keeping encouraging, i have only discovered your channel this morning, Stay blessed.

We were colonised so of course comparisons happen and impact is there. Imperialism has left a huge impact to say not comparing doesnt happen is not accurate. Not to mention every company in the west markets products with white people in africa and asian too. Billboards are there and power is equated to whiteness and lightness and even biracial and mixed persons. All that factors in with colorism.

Have you seen the new line for the curly haired peeps? I'll agree, I wasn't into the Shea Butter Hair mask and the conditioner as a woman with 1c hair.
@jallowlovette
@jallowlovette 3 ай бұрын
All opinions on body shop still stand on moral and ingredient standpoint as it impacts marginalized folks. You dont have to have curly hair or be Black to support that stance as human to refrain from supporting the body shop. But its up to each individual to make that choice for themselves. As i make mine and support companies that support equality for ALL.

Hello! 😌 - I know this video was uploaded several years ago but I just came across it looking into the body shop… I really like the body shops products for their cruelty free status and good ingredient/products however I wanted to make sure their ethical claims were true and obviously this video shows that they aren’t living up to the claims… so first of all - Thank you for speaking up on this subject and ps. i loove your makeup haha - anyway what I wanted to ask is just if u know if they have changed/improved on this matter since they switched parent companies (I believe the switch was after this was uploaded but not entirely sure) - because I saw they created a new line specifically for coils and curls etc. - basically I was just curious if u know if they’ve improved since this video? - apologize for the long comment lol… have a good day😊

Hiya! Thanks for your comment. Well after this video they tried to gaslight and argue with me but no legal contact which i was waiting for with my own legal team. I havent touched their products since so I cant answer you but they were off my list then and forever. Most companies claiming ethical are far from it as you can see with Congo/sudan and many other countries. Try Black and brown small companies for good products like ecoslay.

@@jallowlovette Hi again - Thank u for the answer (don’t know if I mentioned it but i’m white) so don’t know if ecoslay fits or is meant for only black hair/people… sry for any confusion there - it was more so just because I didn’t want to spend my money on brands who aren’t true to their claims… and was therefore wondering about if their new coils line was any good/better in case you’d tried it, that was just mainly what I was wondering - again apologize for maybe not being too clear… anyway have a great Saturday (-:

I’m glad that they’re finally going out of business. They claim they’re ethical, natural and vegan. Yet their products aren’t natural, filled with unnatural additives that destroyed my skin, I still get dermatitis to this day, they got caught selling products in China, they’ve discriminated against you, and the founder completely stole someone’s business model and bullied them into changing their name, bye bye body shop you won’t be missed!! 👋👋

What company bra is suggested? What size surgical bra are you wearing?
@jallowlovette
@jallowlovette 4 ай бұрын
Hi, there are so many it all depends on what size you end up being and whether you have drains or are like me and didn’t have drains. Some bras need to have drain exits and mine didnt i only had tiny stitches. So i had regular support bras i still wear since i dont need normal bras.
