We dont see those in NZ. I used to own a BZ wagon that was more along those lines (4A-GE engine). Have a Blade now, same idea but 3.5 litre V6.

Rust is the main issue as with any jap car really. Other than that, nothing really springs to mind. A nice record of regular maintenance is another thing to look out for and also make sure there is no engine knock. If they have been abused, they can suffer from oil starvation as the sumps are not the best (ideally need to be baffled) but yea, generally quite solid cars

You can see the annual TAX cost and fuel economy on Auto Trader. This was a front runner for me because of reliability, but when it dawned on me that the running costs are very high; I moved on. A 2016 Civic 1.8 has much less road tax and better economy (they have a 2.2 Deisel as well). If you can put up with the placement of the gear lever, the 2005 Honda civic has better running costs. IMO volkswagen have good VAG cars, but Audi is gorgeous but very costly when it goes wrong which is inevitable after 80k miles.

I've been following you on here for a number of years. It's good you've had a realisation that things aren't working. Buying old cars with lots of problems is always going to be a financial burden. What you've done is given yourself an expensive hobby with no fulfilling results. You need to continue to work on yourself and career and become successful at something. This route you've taken has resulted in low self esteem and you seem like a genuinely nice fella. I'm 35 years old and didnt start sorting my life out until I turned 24. The last 11 years have been amazing ❤ I was in a similar position to you from the age of 17 to 24 I was lost and wasted my time with bad decisions. I look back and feel like I wasted 7 years of my life during that time. I was on the wrong path. How old are you may I ask? Life will get better. You need to find your path and purpose. This channel and fixing old cars is not it. I can tell you that 100% and it's good you can see that now.
@ZGVlogs4 ай бұрын
Cheers dude I appreciate it. I'm 24 currently (nearly 25) and I feel the same. I feel I have wasted a lot of time doing this. I'm still in 2 minds about the whole channel thing. I'm tempted to carry it on but not to the extent I have been and just trying to enjoy doing it instead of making it a chore.
@hugohenderson17884 ай бұрын
@@ZGVlogsYou clearly have an interest in cars so that's good you're passionate about something. Maybe a career change is what you need. Getting a job or apprenticeship to become a mechanic, even if it means just changing tyres at somewhere like Kwik Fit to start with. From there you'll gain experience and then go onto learning how to change brakes and suspension components. You'll be getting paid and developing skills and doing something you love. Then years down the line you can go onto become a qualified mechanic and work at an independent garage and even set up your own business. Then you'll have the knowledge on fixing cars so you'll be able to flip them for profit. That's how you'll be successful if you decide to continue with your KZfaq channel and not what you've done in the past.

@@hugohenderson1788 I've recently changed career and I am loving it. The goal is to have my own business still so I'm going to try and get there

@@ZGVlogs That's good to hear. I say still do your KZfaq channel but only if you want to. Just don't spend money on buying old cars and trying to fix them as that is unsatisfing and not financially smart. You can film yourself going to events and car meets, that's cool. Just have the one car to get you to and from work. There is no need to change them all the time 👍
