They’re right, it doesn’t sound like a Harley. Before I was motorcycle ‘literate’, I used to think these bikes sounded nice with aftermarket exhausts. Though it’s definitely nicer than the stock exhaust.

Would you have to replace gaskets, orings, etc. after opening the carb? Also what is the non-Dyno-Tune way of jetting? Adjust and ride, repeat as necessary?

Been 10 or 11 years since I first watched this video - no idea why YT put it in my feed again today.. :D In any case: I nearly caused a geriatric street-riot (man, those old folks were *pissed*) back when we took delivery of a bike featuring an older S&S T-series engine (T111? not sure any more) which was running drag pipes. It had spent a few weeks on a container-ship but it did start right up - and about a minute later, folks were running out of their houses towards us, yelling obscenities. :D I still can't believe these pipes are street-legal in some places. The noise may sound awesome in videos, but when you're actually on/near the bike when you fire the thing up, it feels like you just unleashed a minor earth-quake. I do admit however that they look absolutely stunning and that the bike did lose some of its visual uniqueness after it had been converted for street-use by putting on the smallest adjustable slip-ons we could find. Still: If you really *hate* your neighbors or want to be viewed as one of those South Park bikers ("brap-brap-brap-brap-brap!") I *guess* there's nothing better than a set of drag-pipes.. ;)

i bought a s&s engine a few years ago.... piston rings was installed upside down. 2020 i bought a v96 engine... everything fine expect of the carb jetting. much to lean, it will blow youre headgasket after 5k miles. Thunderjet installed and bigger jets, runs stronger than a m8 114.

i know this is an old thread, but i wanted to ask about the Fireball HI4TC rear cyl offset, if my front cyl is set to retard 1 degree, does the rear follow that? or must i also set the rear to retard 1 degree, i ask because i seem to have more reversion in the rear than the front, it is set to init -1 and rear cyl 0. in my carb'd twin cam 2000 FXDL there are andrews 26H cams (hydraulic tensioner upgrade) done by dealer. thanks in advance

If you were to cut the db killer to the minimum length and install, would it help with the bottom end torque?
@SSCycleInc2 ай бұрын
While it could help, we do not recommend cutting the dB reducer as it was designed to function optimally at the dimensions it is made.

I watched another video that said they can be cut to the sound level desired?
@user-lr3di2gp7o2 ай бұрын
The mufflers you had and drag pipes with baffles are almost completely identical except one thing stock exhaust with mufflers have headers crossover so it basically makes it to be 2-1 exhaust system. As a result connecting to cylinders to work together. So basically in the video you proved how good is 2-1 systes🤠
