Yeah well, wind and solar are not the solution. As Germany and other Countries as well as the State of California have "Glitches" in the grid because of stupid decisions by politicians the reality is that you need "Base Load" to support the grid. Renewable energy is NOT cost effective and never will be. The only reason wind and solar still exists is from production tax credits. Move on.

Interesting and when Solar Energy Resources are taking shape of Psunami all across are there any observations regarding transformer (solar duty inverter ones) getting affected and what are standards observed to fight any premature failure.

@khayayakazi Dioka. Sister Khaya i really like what you doing and i just went through this interview i think i am also triggered to partake in Transformer Engineering. From the way you responding to the questions being asked i see a great passion in what you do. I am currently a third year Electrical Engineering Student at Wits University and seeing such passionate Engineers gives me hope that i have chose the right field and will contribute to making South Africa a great place one day.
