Be careful when you start it to keep an eye on the fluid level. I don't like using anything less than a quart of fluid in a dry converter.

You just gave me an idea for all my scrap 2x4 pieces... not joking either. You are so me from 30 years ago, no help, figuring it out on your own. We didn't have KZfaq then, but still much respect to you. TC's feel like safecracking sometimes. R33, L78, R55 I am following this since I may be looking to swap out my 3550 on my '88 GT with a 408W. Wife cant push the clutch in 😆😆. Looking here for ideas. Keep up the great work!!

Man.... I feel like it's lame as hell to go autobut recently I have been fighting it lol I'm tkx now and it's got some tire on it but I street drive it and it's absolutely frustrating knowing how much faster it would be auto 😂 I'm fighting it but I may not be far behind you on that swap. Out of curiosity, why the 400 vs a C4? I haven't really looked into it but if I went auto I was planning C4 w a brake.

If you went with 16 rockers instead of 172 you wouldn’t have not have needed to do that. Smaller lift less likely to touch. What are your cam specs?

I was going to see if you dont add a glass piece to showcase that intake its a missed opportunity..but if you gotta cut, a hole is gonna be just as killer imo.

@rmdavenport5014 күн бұрын
You can buy or make some K-member spacers to shift everything down to clear. I’m fitting a Trickflow Box intake which is just as tell on a 351w block with your same hood in my car. I used a 3/4 spacer place I made but a lot of people sell them because with long travel no prep struts nearly everyone uses them.
@JovanMichaels9 күн бұрын
yeah I might have to look into that.
@GAGEDADY15 күн бұрын
Get k member to body spacers I seen some no prep foxes running over 2 inch spacers to allow more front end lift. You also can try low profile motor mounts. I have a 351 turbo in my fox with the same holly you had before.
@JovanMichaels9 күн бұрын
that is a option. We’ll see where it goes🤘🏼

Time to build an aftermarket 363 shortblock
@JovanMichaels9 күн бұрын
A stronger short block is in the future for sure.
@foxaholic422815 күн бұрын
Looking good my Dude, now all you need is A 363 SB, Because I don't think your Production Block is going to stay in 1 piece for long.
@JovanMichaels9 күн бұрын
I know I know. A dart block is much needed. But we’re going to give this little production block everything we got.
@nunya281415 күн бұрын
Like the direction you're goin buddy, I see a dart block in your future.
@JovanMichaels9 күн бұрын
man. I really do need a dart block and a rear end . At that point ms parker would be a weapon 🤘🏼
@nunya28149 күн бұрын
@@JovanMichaels I'll keep an ear open for a block for ya, if you build that 8.8 right it'll handle plenty of power, if your goin anything over a 1k hp then you can start looking for different rear ends, but those Ford 8.8s are strong units weakest part of them honestly is the where the axle tubes meet the housing. Check out neo mustangs, he's got a fox turbo 363 stick car running high 8s low 9s with a built 8.8, torque box reinforcement all that good stuff.

What made you go th400 vs the others that were recommended ?
@JovanMichaels19 күн бұрын
from the research I’ve done, I’ve heard nothing but good things about the th400 when it comes to racing. many people who have gone that route say they love it. A lot of people with fast cars run th400’s 🤘🏼
@GannonKupkoSr19 күн бұрын
At 4:57 is words to live by.... That bellhousing concerns me a bit though. I feel that the firewall at the top comes down at a steeper angle than that housing (don't hold me to that... it's been about 20 years since I took mine out). Are you OK just making room with a hammer if it's an issue?

Make sure to check your converter spacing , don’t want to trash your thrust bearings in motor . TH400 hold a lot power and can be beef up even more if needed . I’m going to try a glide at first
@JovanMichaels20 күн бұрын
yes. I will be sure to check and double check converter spacing once we get her in there. This transition is going to be a process but the car is going to be rowdy when it’s all put back together. 🤘🏼
